Question:	Can this thermometer get the temperature in a dryer
Answer:	I doubt it. The wavelength of the sensor is 8-14 microns and plexiglass has very low transmittance beyond about 3 microns (according to this spec sheet http://www.plexiglas.com/export/sites/plexiglas/.content/medias/downloads/sheet-docs/plexiglas-general-information-and-physical-properties.pdf). Whether or not the material your dryer door is made of is the same is another matter. If the transmittance is close to zero then you will essentially be measuring the temperature of the outside of the door.
Question:	Does this work on internal meat temperatures
Answer:	If you cut the meat in half you might be able to take the surface temperature of the meat, but then your meat is going to be cut in half and that's not real appetizing. Blue cheese is very appealing, maybe some bacon.

Answer:	If your child can open their mouth and hold it open for a few seconds, then YES! It is an extremely accurate way to measure temperature! Just point the dot at the back of the throat, and it gives you an immediate and accurate reading. I'm at a loss why people only considered pointing it at their foreheads or other external body parts.

Answer:	The 12:1 ratio means at 12" the gun is accurate for a one inch spot. So at 6'-8' it will be accurate for a 6"-8" inch spot. So the farther you get away from the spot being measured, the less accurate it will be. Like Cheryl said, think of it like a cone.

Answer:	This IR thermometer has a very narrow range of temperatures it displays. IF I point it at my hair, the lowest temp I've seen is 93.6F. If the temp reading is much below that it just displays "Lo". Hence it probably has a range from 93F to 108F as a guess. Other IR measurement devices, and I have one from Etekcity that's black and yellow is good for temps from -58F to 716F degrees per the label on it. That one just measured by stover burner at 408F, plus my fridge was 40F and freezer was +3F. This one is much better for humans and the etekcity is better for no humans. I read 94F on Etekcity and 98.6F for this unit on my forehead. This is made for people.

Answer:	I don't think there is a full silent mode but its not to noisy I doubt it could wake anyone. The loudest sounds it makes only happens if a fever temperature is detected, but I still don't think it would be loud enough to wake someone as long as you took the temperature from the farthest distance possible. This product provides two main modes of body temperature measurement and object temperature measurement. Before taking the temperature, please make sure to select the temperature measurement mode.

1: place the measuring probe close to the forehead. Make sure the probe plane is parallel to the forehead plane and 1cm ~ 5cm away from the forehead

2: in the shutdown state, press the start-up measurement key once to start the machine, the screen displays the last measured temperature value, and then press again to start measuring the forehead temperature.

Select a tree over 12 inches in diameter and Get maple sap with an electric drill, casing, and bucket. In general, sap is of the best quality at the beginning. Choose the time of day when the warmest collection, generally in the afternoon. If the weather is fine, you can collect them for more than a month. Measurement method: 1. Aim the front end of the refractometer to the direction of bright light and rotate the diopter adjustment ring until the reticle can be seen clearly. 2. Adjustment of null: Open the cover plate and place one or two drops of distilled water on the surface of the prism. Close the cover plate and press it lightly. Adjust the correcting screw to align the line marking the split between the light and the dark areas with the null line. 3. Open the cover plate. Clean the surface of the prism with a soft cotton cloth. Drop two or three drops of the collected sap onto the surface of the prism. Find the split line between the light and the dark areas. Read the corresponding scale denoting the sugar content of sap out of the tree. 4.
