Question:	What is the difference between gripe water and gas relief drop
Answer:	You have to make sure your water is safe so you should boil or use distilled water with all nasal wash products. I just don't like the whole late night infomercial pitch on the Navage. They advertise the product on their site for 59.95 but when you click to purchase it ads the required salt pod for another 15.00 so it's really 75.00. I want to be able to use whatever solution I want and not be locked into their expensive salt pod when there are many other solutions that are much better. The whole thing looks like a marketing campaign and they only offer a one year warranty. Other products offer multi year warranties and have more honest reviews. Answer:	Yes! The direction of flow is completely adjustable: left to right, or right to left. The nasal dock can be rotated 180 degrees in either direction. In fact, you can even change direction in the middle of an irrigation cycle. In other words, half-way through (after having used about 4 ounces) you can stop, rotate the nasal dock 180 degrees, and finish your irrigation cycle in the opposite direction. Also, please note that due to the nature of the coaxial nasal dock valve, the CLEAN (supply) saline is always CLEAN, and the dirty (effluent) saline is always dirty.
Question:	How often does this need to need to be replaced
Answer:	I purchased both the Navage & the Sinuplus as well. I am not as impressed with the Navage as I am with the Sinuplus. At first it was because you cannot use the Navage unless you use a new saline pod each time you use it, but after using the Sinuplus I think it does a better job and you can use your own saline solution. Now I just leave my last used pod in the Navage and use the unit to suck out excess water left in my sinuses. Big problem I see is if I ever run out of pods and open the top my Navage is usuless. To answer your question I guess you could stop the process before all the solution is used up and depress the on button and the vacuum would probably work. If I could only have one of what I have, I would choose the Sinuplus before the Navage. My Sinuplus has totally stopped my post nasal drip. I use it daily and would hate to be without it.

Answer:	I dont know if it has been modified. I probably wouldn't use in the shower as some people have... And I would probably consider what type of water you put in it.. they say to boil it so the machine doesn't get clogged with sediment. I could see that like any product it could have issues mechanically if it was dunked in water or dropped, etc.
Question:	Where can I get just the nighttime bottle
Answer:	I buy this regularly at Walgreens and like it. However many of the comments here are accurate. If you let it set too long it freezes up and won’t run. I think the salt in the solution is a culprit but I found freezing up was issue if it sat too long even cleaning with distilled water (no salt) on final clean after use. I would suggest just running a packet of salt through it every other day minimum even if you aren’t running into your sinuses. That should keep it from stopping. I candidly do not suggest you try to keep these for more than a few months before replacing with new. There is no way to look inside to inspect for bacteria or mold. I tried. Because of that i run vinegar through it 1 part to 3 distilled water. (Only use distilled water not tap water for any purpose). I do that every second week. Shoot into you hand but NOT into nose obviously when cleaning devise. Flush with 100% distilled after letting it sit for a minute or so. Then let it dry. About every month or so, I will substitute run a small amount of bleach 1 part to 6 parts distilled water through mechanism and again shoot into hand to clean. Immediately flush with 100 distilled water after. But after those efforts it is still best to get new one every 2-3 months. The cost of larger irrrigation devices might last a year but that covers the cost of 4 of these. The risk of it harboring bacteria and mold is too great. This cost is still lower than a copay for sinus infection. If periodically cleaned they will shoot far better than squeeze bottles.

Answer:	It is not recommended as you need to be using distilled or previously boiled water cooled down and those are at pH levels of 5.8 & 6.4, respectively, whereas Kagen water has a pH of 8.5 to 9.5.

Answer:	I would say no. The packets are salty so that when you squirt the water in your nose it is ok. I think in a nebulizer you’d just end out with salty sediment or a coating of salt on everything. That said, when I say salty, that is just to simplify. You can’t just pour table salt in water to rinse your nose. I’m sure there is a formula.

Answer:	It is hypertonic whereas the regular product is isotonic. Isotonic means that the prepared solution is the same as the natural fluids in the body whereas hypertonic means that the prepared product is greater than the body's natural fluids

Answer:	I used this when my baby was 3 weeks old I started with .5 then I went to 1 ml only once a day, only because it says young babies can have a serious reaction. I also tried gas drops once but didn't start using those again until she was 3 months old. If your really having problems with your baby at this young I would see your doc because they really shouldn't be doing much more than sleeping and eating. My baby is now 3 months and serious gas and hiccups and crying started up about a month ago so I got gripe water which I use once and awhile, gerber colic soothe drops and natural phos 6 10x tablets.

What is the difference between Colic-Ease and other brands of gripe water?

What is charcoal (aka activated charcoal or vegetable carbon) doing in some gripe waters and why don't we use it?

What other names is Activated Charcoal known by? Activated Carbon, Animal Charcoal, Carbon, Carbo Vegetabilis, Charcoal, Gas Black, Lamp Black, Medicinal Charcoal, Vegetable Carbon, Vegetable Charcoal. All are the same.

For uses other than for treatment of poisoning. Charcoal has also been used to treat other intestinal disorders such as diarrhea, constipation, and cramps. There are few studies to support these uses and there are also concerns that Frequent use of charcoal may decrease absorption of essential nutrients, especially in children.

Charcoal should NOT be used in children under three years of age to treat diarrhea or gas.

Charcoal should not be given for more than three or four days for treatment of diarrhea. Continuing for longer periods may interfere with normal nutrition.

Charcoal binds to other drugs and reduces their effectiveness, which could become dangerous.

*Some activated charcoal products contain sorbitol. Sorbitol is a sweetener as well as a laxative, therefore, it may cause severe diarrhea and vomiting. These products should not be used in infants.

*Parents should not mix charcoal with chocolate syrup, sherbet, or ice cream, even though it may make charcoal taste better. These foods may prevent charcoal from working properly.

*Activated charcoal may cause swelling or pain in the stomach. It has been known to cause problems in people with intestinal bleeding, blockage or those people who have had recent surgery. These patients should talk to their doctor before using this product.

*Charcoal may be less effective in people with slow digestion.

*Pain or swelling of the stomach may occur. Doctor should be consulted.

*Charcoal is black and stains before during and after digestion. Diapers, bibs, clothes and skin all can become stained with the black charcoal.

Answer:	Absolutely! mixing any new edible with breast milk is a wonderful way to help the transition. also many babies do not like the sudden cold feeling in their mouth. i assume you keep this product in the fridge as specified. you might also try warming the contents as you would if it were milk before giving to baby. (I'm an OB/GYN Nurse practitioner)

Answer:	immediately i think mainly it distracted her from whatever it was that was making her cry. We gave it slowly to elongate the distraction. Hopefully it helped her tummy feel Better too but i really think that the immediate benefit was just a change of gears.

Answer:	The name was changed to give a clearer indication regarding what this product is used for. It is the exact same product.
