Answer:	Your baby might have a yeast Infection causing the rash, I would recommend seeing a doctor to get nystatin cream prescribed and layer that with the desitin. I generally use desitin to protect from getting a rash it's a barrier protecting the skin. If you can't get to the doctor you can also use lotramin otc. Our doctor has had us do that on the weekends when they couldn't see our baby. Also baking soda bath soaks help as welll. Hope that helps.

She seemed surprised that I even questioned whether there was supposed to be a safety seal. I tried to explain that I was old enough to remember the Tylenol-tampering issue, when innocent consumers DIED, and that as a result of that litigation, all drugstore products needed a seal to ensure against tampering.
