| Answer: | The filter is based on how many grains of solids it can filter. You have to find out how hard your water is and how much water you will use through it. This will kind of give you a rough estimate of how long the filter will last. This filter is rated at 750 grains, so do the math. With my Alex Duette 2 espresso machine making 5-6 drinks per day, I can go a year before changing the filter. But I change the filter every 6 months just because. |

You don't recirculate water through it. It is a one pass type filter. If you are softening with it and the water is coming out hard, you need to regenerate the ion exchange media by submerging in a small tub of brine water and then flush out the brine and it is ready to go. |

Useful note:
In order to get a good seal, please put the tire's air nozzle up or off to the side. It's the best when the nozzle is around 6 or 7 o'clock position so that you can firmly press the guage straight down which means you have to crane your head a little bit for reading. Always remember the most important thing for you is to be able to press down straight & hard onto the tire's nozzle.

| Answer: | After receiving my two-pack, I opened one to check the batteries because the instructions that came with the gauges failed to identify the batteries and I didn't find the previous answers to this question until after I had checked my gauge. AstroAI indicated that the gauge uses 3 @ AG13 (Silver Oxide) batteries and 1 @ CR2032 (Lithium) battery. I found 3 @ LR44 (Alkaline) batteries and 1 @ CR2032 (Lithium) battery. It's useful to note that the LR44 alkaline battery is cheaper and has a shorter life than the AG33 silver battery. I also don't trust small alkaline batteries in devices such as this where they can leak. When my batteries need to be replaced, I will use the AG13s. Looking at the wiring in the gauge, it is apparent that the single CR2032 powers the pressure transducer while the three LR44 or AG13 batteries power the light. |

To my knowledge, this gauge is accurate to within +/- 1 PSI when the selector is set to measure in PSI's. Therefore, if the gauge measures 50 PSI, the tire pressure should be 50 PSI. Of course, variance can occur due to improper placement of the gauge on the tire stem, etc., but I have personally found this gauge to be exceptionally accurate when compared to an analog gauge of professional accuracy quality. | Answer: | It does read at those PSI ranges. According to there description it does read through the full scale with the same accuracy. I set the air PSI in my tractor tires at 18/20 PSI and it did seem to work well at that range. I bought a (non digital) 0 to 15 PSI gauge for my ATV’s. I did compare it and it was within 1 PSI. I read 4 PSI on my 0 to 15 range gauge and I read 3.4 on my digital Jaco gauge so it was actually very close. |

As a rule of thumb -most good pressure gauges (any/all) are most accurate in the middle-to upper 2/3rds of their stated ranges. |

The downside of its length was that it was too long to make a seal on my motorcycle tires, which have a shorter valve stem. Bicycle tires may have the same issue. |

Useful note:
Place the nozzle of the gauge over the tire valve. Press firmly to ensure good seal and prevent air from escaping. Hold gauge on the valve until the reading on the LCD display locks. Remove the gauge quickly from the valve and read pressure.
