Answer:	Rule of thumb is double the watt usage your Appliance is asking for, if it's asking for 1200 watts you need to get a 2400 watt inverter for safety,this is an industry standard because, most appliances use much more, occasionally more than double, watts just on the few seconds during start up then they do the rest of the time they're running, they call that pulse or Peak Watts, most power inverters are sold with the assumption that the appliance will only be pulling up to the max or more than the continuous for only a moment or two during the start up process which is why you have continuous and Max ratings..this inverter however says do not go over 600 watts or it will start limiting your power for safety how can it be 1200 watt Max if I can't go over 600 food for thought

Answer:	Rule of thumb when buying a power inverter look at your Appliances need and double that number not what this description is telling you check your Appliance and keep its requirements under 600 Watts that is not the industry standard usually they include cranking Watts which is most times significantly more if not double the continuous Watts that 1200 supposed to be for cranking purposes which is why you should double your appliances needs if it calls for 600 get a 1200 for safety reasons way this guy's describing this product is it's more like a 300w 600max but don't take my word for it go check out the other power inverters and see how they're being sold...
