| Answer: | Your headphones are (probably) picking up the electomagnetism put off by the inverter. Move away from the inverter and see if it goes away. If not, then insulate your headphone wire. If that doesn't work, then try it with someone else's (preferably new) laptop. Some cheap/old laptops are built with too few capacitors and you probably shouldn't use this inverter. (Alternatively, you could hardwire capacitance into your charging cord). It's also possible that the product is not actually putting out a proper waveform. It works fine on my laptop, so I haven't tested that yet. |

Recently the unit powered a DVD player for a 20 hour trip and performed perfectly and did not overheat. Only negative...the power cord is about 18" long so trying to hide it or install it could be a challenge. |

| Answer: | Yes it has a fan, no it is not always on and it is very very quite. There is a switch or should I say a button that you push to activate the 110 outlets and a green indicator light comes on to let you know that both the 110 outlets have been engaged and the fan to keep them cool. The USB outlets and the cigar lighter socket are always available with or without activating the fan/110 inverter. I use this device every day operating my dash-cam and charging my phone and Kindle HDX. I have also used it for my laptop from time to time. Works quite well but do keep in mind that you are drawing from your car battery and if the engine is off you need to start the car once in a while to keep it charged. I have also used it to power a guitar amp but found an RF frequency buzz zing thorough so I didn't do it for long. I believe if I plugged in a power cord and put the amp out side the car that may have helped however it was raining so I didn't. |

This meter responds to the average value of the rectified waveform, but is calibrated as rms voltage for a sine wave input. Since this inverter produces a modified sine wave rather than a sine wave, the rms voltage indicated by the meter is wrong. The answer by the Bestek seller is for a true rms ac voltmeter, which calculates based on the square root of the mean of the squares of the waveform values. The Bestek website actually gives two different specifications. Output Voltage: AC110VAC+/-5%,60Hz+/-3Hz and Voltage: 110V to 120V. |

Be aware of your car's fuses(Most is 15A), most car‘s 12v cigarette lighter port is fused at 150W, due to the battery output voltage is 10-15V, then formula P=UI(150W=10V(Min) x 15A), so you won't be able to pull more than 150W if connect with car‘s 12V cigarette lighter ports; unless you plug directly into car's battery.
The ON-OFF switch only works for the AC plugs. The USB/USB-C portion is NOT switched that are always powered on so long as the power source is there. You can use the USB charge ports all of the time with NO LOAD from the inverter.
For safety, please make sure the total wattage of all your plugged devices is less than 300w.
Please don’t use this inverter with appliances rated at voltage 220V-240V AC. This product is only able to supply power to 100V-120VAC products.
