How To Use the Arteck To Jump Start A Vehicle Battery

1. Make sure the battery capacity of the device is above 50%.

2. Plug the jumper cables into the barrel socket of the device and connect the jumper cable clamps to the drained battery of the vehicle.

WARNING: Always connect the BLACK clamp to the negative ( - ) terminal of the car battery first, then connect the RED clamp to the positive ( + ) terminal of the car battery. Do not touch the RED and BLACK cable clamps together or connect both cable clamps to the same piece of metal.

3. Now attempt to crank start the engine.

WARNING: If the engine does not start immediately on the first try, disconnect the jumper cables from the car battery and wait at least 10 seconds before reconnecting the jumper cables to the car battery.

4. Once the engine has successfully started, disconnect the jumper cable clamps immediately.

Question:	How do you know if it’s charging? when i plug into usb-c it doesn’t flash like the instructions say it should? should the switch be on or off
Answer:	It says up to 6.0, I've only gone up to 4.7 and it does work. It should work but you woild want to make sure its fully charged as it would take a good amount of the charge to jump start it.

Answer:	The mah capacity is only 3108 for this device. They don't state the capacity anywhere in the literature, probably because it is lower than that of competing models. I had to compute the mah from the Watt hours (37.296 and volts (12) at a site like this one: https://milliamps-watts.appspot.com/) I charged my android phone 1x and nearly all of the chargers capacity was used up. This device will start your car fine but there are better devices for charging phones available.

Answer:	I think the user manual recommends recharging every 3 months even if you don't have to use it. I own two of them and have found that they are still pretty well charged on that schedule but I still follow that protocol just to be safe.

Answer:	I think it could be used outdoors. It stands up to moisture fine. But it is a foam, and foams break down eventually. Sunlight would speed up that process.
