Answer:	I've owned the 1500 amp for about 12 years and it still works like new. Almost unbelievable. Strong and will start a large V8 engine with plenty of power left. I have left it plugged in for months at a time with no harm, however I agree that bringing it to a full charge and then unplugging it seems best. It will hold a full charge for months. I am ordering an additional one and hope it is still made the same as my original. My first one is an amazing product.

Answer:	Yes! My cousin was visiting us on a route abd left something on in his rig. I pulled this out of my Dodge and started that rig up no problem.
Question:	Does it have an On/Off switch for the Jumper
Answer:	No! The clamps suck and loose their grip. Mine fell out of the holder, shorted out and caught my trunk on fire. Burned the jump pack, the contents of my trunk, carpet, and damn near burned my car to the ground! Extremely dangerous without a master shutoff switch!!

This includes wet, gel, maintenance free, enhanced flooded battery, and absorbent glass mat batteries. The GB500 Boost Max is capable of jump starting 12V and 24V acid batteries.

Answer:	Yes it will start up any (vehicles) car battery. However (in error) when I received my order of the GB-40, I had only checked it; by turning it on and looking to see what the power display showed (as far as voltage lights). I should have charged it, even though it showed full charge; when I had to use it maybe a month later (as my battery in the car) had finally given up; the booster saved me but then showed low power had remained on the booster GB-40. The car's battery needed to be replaced the next day. The GB-40, saved me!

Question:	What does a blinking red light mean, when connected to a car battery
Answer:	No, once you jump it you remove it from the battery. I charge it with the outlet cord. I have been able to get a few jump starts with a single charge. It is great as back up while boating and Jeeping.
Question:	Can this device be used to jump start a vehicle through the cigarette lighter adapter? (using a separate male cigarette lighter adapter
Answer:	These packs will provide 12V power, but it's hard to promise you that it will always get you going. A lot will depend on things like did a light get left on for 2 hours while you went to a movie or all night long fully draining the battery? I've done a test myself with a similar pack where I disconnected my car battery (to pretend it was dead) and tried the pack alone. My 4 cylinder car did start, but cranked so slowly I didn't think it was going to as I held the key for 3 seconds. With that experience I doubt this alone could handle a truck with 2 batteries that are both fully drained and even an OEM rep from Clore suggested their next bigger unit (the JNC950). To be honest with you I'd not buy the 950 for $250 when I can get a 35 amp-hour battery like it has for $70 (which leaves me $150+ to buy jumper cables & a charger separately), but that's just me. In any case, don't get too sold on the "1700 peak amps" labels since these are not that big a battery (just as it weighs 15 lbs versus 45 lbs for a real car battery, that's the ratio of power I expect).

Answer:	i have had no problems leaving in a glass box - car with windows all the way up. think it may drain the internal battery a touch but nothing serious. instead of having 5 day charge, you may have 4 days 22 hours or so

Answer:	I dont have this one, but I do have the last version, and after taking mine apart, here is what I can say. While there are lights on the front that tell you when the battery is full, I have found not proof or evidence of any float in it to keep it from over charging. My opinion, while it should not hurt much to leave it is for a short period of time after it is fully charged, I would keep somewhat in mind to make sure that it is not left charging for extended lengths of time. Doing so can damage the battery in it. If you do damage the battery in it, replacement batteries can be bought and installed for around half the price of one of these. I just replaced the battery in mine, and for mine, I found some cheap, made in china ones for about $30. I found one that was made in the USA for just a few dollars more. All that there is to replacing the battery is to take the screws out that hold the front and back together, which should be around 8 screws, the two pieces should come apart, and the battery should be right there. The battery will be attached to the wires by a nut and bolt on each terminal. That is it. and just in case you are wondering, the battery in mine was a 19ah, 12v battery.. but the 18ah ones are easier to find. The size of mine is about 6.5" x 7" x 3", or something like that. and mine is the same overall type/design/rating as this one. Just without the USB ports. but you would have to verify that they still use the same battery if you do choose to replace yours in the future.Also, as to the charging thing. Some people say to charge it once a month. Personally, i feel that is a bit much. I say to charge it when it is getting a bit low. Why do I say this.. because these types of batteries do not really loose much power over time, if not being used. Even the manufacturers of the batteries for these say that you only need to top the battery off, once every 6 to 12 months, if the battery is just sitting on the shelf. So I see no reason why, if you are not using the jumper at all, why you would need to charge it every month. If the battery is at, say 90%, then it is still fine to leave alone (unless you know you are going to need it very soon, and quite a few times at that), but if it gets to maybe 75%, I say charge it to top it off. Dont forget, since the batteries in these are the same type as what is in a car, you just don't want to let it get too low. If you do let it get too low, that can ruin the battery, just like how it will in a car.
Question:	What is the starting current for this device
Answer:	For a battery of this size, I'd not go over 240 watt inverter. Actually, you can use any inverter (I got a 400 watt unit that came with a lighter plug as well as other wires), but I'd not connect up a load greater than that ~240 watts. I have at least 2 reasons. First, the lighter outlet that you'll likely want to use is for sure intended for under 20 amps (and maybe fused for only 10 amps). Secondly, the battery is likely rated "18 amp-hour" hinting it can give you 18 amps for 1 hour, or 9 amps for 2 hours, etc. For something needing just 1 amp at 120V the inverter will pull 10 amps at 12V from the battery making it last under 2 hours (or under 1 hour for 2 amps at 120V). I recommend against pulling power faster than it's rating (~20 amps) since I've seen statements in manuals like "Don't crank a car for even 5 seconds because the battery will overheat internally" and I think you're pushing your luck to expect more than that continuously.
Question:	Is there a warranty? If so, how long
Answer:	Mine wont. I have a Dodge 3500 5.9l....My charger is brand new and fully charged. It won't even hold a no load charge over night.
