Answer:	The user manual does not say anything about slow charging; it might charge the battery to a point if connected to it but it won't be slow. The car battery charger can charge small electronic devices via USB ports, but the charging circuitry that controls, monitors and limits the amount of current that goes to charge these devices is in the small electronic device itself. Answer:	The cables are about 8 inches long not including the clips. However since the power pack is only a little larger than a cell phone it is easy to get it within a couple of inches of the battery posts so the cables do not have to be long to reach. That is the great thing about these little starters....they work without having to have space to maneuver a car or to need long cables.

Answer:	I don't know where the 2 other comments came up with one amp output. Minimum is 5.1 amps with mttp controller. Still insufficient to fully charge deep cycle flooded battery with much load.

Answer:	No, there are not really any directions but it’s pretty simple to use. Yes, peel off the protective plastic layer. I know it looks like it is attached underneath the fabric but it comes pretty easily.
Question:	how long will it take with good sunlight to recharge a dead 12v automotive battery
Answer:	The right answer is: It won't. 5W is the absolute best these cheap panels will output, in reality you will only get about 1W during daylight hours, mostly due to thermal derating. The charge will be so minimal, that battery leakage at night will eliminate any small charge you get during the day.

When a battery is stored, a very slow chemical reaction takes place between the plate materials and the electrolyte, causing a slow discharge. This reaction, called a self-discharge, occurs more rapidly at higher temperatures. Therefore, it is not recommended to store next to a furnace or other heat source. If an ACDelco Battery is completely discharged, the electrolyte will freeze when stored below 30°F. To prevent electrolyte freezing and battery damage, do not store ACDelco Batteries below 30°F if their OCV is less than 12.5 volts. Check battery every 2 months and maintain a voltage of 12.4 volts or higher

Answer:	A Prius equipped with smart key entry sends out a radio signal looking for a remote key. When you approach your car with the remote on you the car senses it and allows you to open the doors and start the car with out a key. This is important for the battery because, unless you disable it, the car transponder runs constantly and you need a deep discharge battery. It is recommended that you disable smart key if you are parking longer than a couple days to avoid depleting the 12 volt battery. The disable switch is on the dash below the steering column. This is fully described in the owners manual.
