Prepare the Barrel for the Grease Cartridge to settle in

• To get started, unscrew the gun head from the barrel. The head is the part with the handle.
• Then pull the Piston rod up the way to the very end, which will require proper strength.

Install the Grease Cartridge

• Remove the plastic cap from one end of the new cartridge, then insert this open end into gun barrel and push it fully in so that the end of the cartridge seals with the end of the barrel.
• Remove the metal seal from the exposed end of the cartridge.
• Discard the metal seal.

Release and Push the Piston Rod Back Inside

• Release the piston rod from the retracted position by pressing the plunger lock while holding the plunger handle
• Push the piston rod back inside the barrel to ensure that it is fully engaged.

Try Squeezing Some Grease and Tighten the Grease Gun

• Connect the grease gun with air compressor, and pump until grease begins to appear at the dispensing head nozzle.

Question:	Can it be adjusted down? 6000 psi is too much pressure for most greasing applications I will use it for
Answer:	Hi, this is a great tool except the air fitting. You must purchase an adapter to convert it to your fitting if the shop pro adapters are used. The pressure is NOT 6000 psi. Could be 60 psi instead. I am using shop air 110psi and it does push grease out quite bit far. You could ad a regulator in the line if you’re worried about pressure being too hi. You should be ok and please be aware this gun uses grease cartridge and they are working very well. Good luck

Answer:	Between myself and friends we have successfully installed five of these fittings without any problems. As per the other reviews, I would first check your gun to see if was in fact pumping grease, then reinstall the coupler and try again, before you put it on a fitting. Could be that the fitting jerk that you tried it on was frozen. If it still does not allow grease to flow, it is defective and you will need to return it.

Answer:	The answer to this question is somewhat complicated. The standard LockNLube coupler has a 1/8" NPT hose connection. This will be compatible with all US grease guns EXCEPT SOME of the 18 volt Milwaukees. It appears that Milwaukee imported a batch of 18 volt guns that have 10x1 Metric thread on the coupler end of the hose - unlike the majority of Milwaukee 18 volt guns, which have the standard 1/8" NPT thread. There is no way to tell what the thread is without taking off the coupler and then test fitting a known 1/8" NPT onto the hose end to see if it works. If the known 1/8" NPT does not thread on, it is likely that you have one of the Milwaukees with the 10x1 Metric thread.There are indications that the most recent Milwaukee 18 volts are now coming through with the standard 1/8" NPT thread again, and not the 10x1 Metric.There are several solutions:1. Determine the thread type on your grease gun - chances are, there may be no problem at all with just using a standard 1/8" NPT thread LockNLube coupler.2. Replace the original hose with a new Milwaukee hose Part # Milwaukee 49-16-2647. The new replacement hoses are 1/8"NPT. The thread size is printed right on the front of the package. Your LockNLube coupler will then connect properly to the replacement hose.3. Contact LockNLube, by calling 603-795-2298. 1. Wipe the Filler Nipple with a clean cloth, Push the Plunger Rod (Follower-rod) all the way into the barrel of the Grease Gun, Insert the Filler Nipple into the Loader Coupler on the Pump and extend the lever handle away from the barrel.
2. Operate the pump until the Grease Gun barrel is full of Grease. The Plunger Rod will be fully extended when the barrel is full, remove the Filler Nipple from the Loader Coupler on the Pump. Unlock the Plunger Rod from the end cap, by releasing the Plunger Lock. This would push the Plunger Rod into the barrel.

1. Unscrew the Head Assembly from the barrel of the Grease Gun. Pack head with Grease, Pull back the Plunger Rod. When the rod is fully extended, the Plunger Rod locks into place with posi-stop Plunger Lock. Remove the plastic cap from the end of Grease Cartridge and, insert open end first, into the barrel of Grease Gun.
2. Push the Grease Cartridge into the barrel until the rim of the pull-tab end contacts the rim of the barrel. Then remove the pull-tub seal from the end of the Grease Cartridge. Screw the head back onto the barrel. Unlock the Plunger Rod from the end cap, releasing the Plunger Lock.
