Answer:	For maximum safety, my recommendation is to store propane containers in a weather protected location, such as garage or shed with some natural ventilation. Propane is a highly flammable liquified petroleum gas that vaporizes and expands many-fold very quickly if released to atmospheric pressure, and will form a highly explosive mixture if released in a confined space without outside ventilation. If then ignited by a small spark such as a light switch, the resulting explosion may be catastrophic. There are on-line photos of boats that have exploded from propane leaks in the confined space of a boat cabin with catastrophic results including death of occupants. The cabin top and sides have literally been blown to pieces in such cases. New, sealed bottles of 1 lb size are reasonably safe, but once opened or partly used it is best to store away from occupied spaces. Although the probability is low, the consequences of failure are unacceptable. 20 lb propane containers should never be stored indoors. Question:	can i hook a large propane tank to his
Answer:	Yes, any size propane tank can be a source for it when plumbed correctly. The simplest way to go is using the F273704 hose directly off most tanks. That hose needs nothing else and goes direct from the tank to the heater. This model heater only accepts high pressure gas thru the "disposable tank" connection, so other hoses with that connection can be used as well as the "filter" F273699. The "filter" is to take out oils coming from most rubbers in hoses where the high pressure "squeezes" the oil out, but the 704 hose is made "oil-free" to avoid that issue. FYI I tried running this off a regulated low pressure source, but with it on "high" the glow was like "low" setting normally (showing a lack of gas coming thru). So if you have a low pressure source, the "Big Buddy" models have a connection point for such thru a quick disconnect using hoses like F271802 or F271803, but not this model (this one needs high pressure gas to get enough thru it's disposable tank port).

Answer:	Best guess is 4-5 hours on low. I sat in a hunting blind for 2.5 hours and the 1lb propane canister was about half empty.

Answer:	As soon as the weather gets cold, I put my Big Buddy Heater on a stand & use a Mr. Heater 12' hose with regulator running to a 20lb. tank in living room. I use the hose with the low pressure regulator on it & hook it up to the quick connect fitting. I have 2 20lb tanks in mint condition, and rotate them as needed. This will be my 7th winter using it. Old windows & doors let air in and I have a carbon monoxide alarm near by. Also use a leak detector to check all connections after hooking up a full tank. If it's really cold, I'll start it on high for a short time, then run it on medium & it keeps living & dining room warm. Cuts my oil bill down greatly.

Answer:	I have the same problem. I have had this 1-gallon container for 3 years, filled with gas and stored in my truck bed. This is the 1st time I actually use it, try to pour the gas out, and I could not. No gas come out of the nozzle no matter how I turn the lock/unlock ring. Think about it when you are on the road running out of gas, then find the stored gas you carried for years just for in case like this would not come to recuse you... Fortunately I am in my garage just trying to change the old gas with refresh one and I am still researching on how to make the simple thing work - get the gas out of the nozzle.

Question:	What all does it come with
Answer:	It’s not designed for drinking water, but, plastics being plastics, I’d venture to say it should be safe to pass water though it, as it was designed, as long as it wasn’t used for anything else, but not let it sit contained in the funnel. Especially on hot days. If I were the one asking, I’d pose this question to the manufacturer, and if no resolution, you can at least find out the composition and investigate on your own.

Answer:	NO. These are small, flimsy, and the exit hole is about a 1/4". Totally unsuitable for fuel. Don't waste your money. I returned mine as soon as received
Question:	Amazon says this stove needs special handling to send to one of thier lockers. It doesn't have toxic materials and it isn't very large, any idea why

Answer:	no issues with my bottle

Answer:	Nothing as far as I can tell. The cap appears to be to only differance. Maybe some of the old ones had a tendency to open a little and leak. The new cap design helps to prevent anything from opening it by accident.
Question:	will this hold a propane tank
Answer:	They are made in China. It is a top-quality bottle. Mine (I have had many, in all 3 sizes) have never leaked or seeped fuel, in over 35 years of use. I've used them to fuel a stove while backpacking and also as spare gasoline cannisters while travelling by motorcycle. Mine have been plenty beat-up, but not abused. Others I have used that offer great performance as well include Sigg and Optimus, but MSR is my go-to.
Question:	Can it be used with a tall helium tank
Answer:	Carried in my checked luggage an emptied and well vented bottle (along with my new MSR Dragonfly) from Vancouver to Tel Aviv with a stop at Heathrow, without any noticable problem. Carrying fuel is prohibited.

Answer:	Inside diameter is about 1 3/8",so 1" is about right.

Answer:	OK...did a quick measurement. Measurement of OD is very slightly less than 1", difficult to put an exact number on it because the relaxed tubing is slightly oval. A perfectly fitted mandrel would give an exact answer, but lacking that I just measured the extremes. Big way on the oval is right at 1", short way is about .02 less. So would be just a touch less than 1" if rounded.
Question:	While it say carb compliant, it also says this item can not be shipped to your selected loacation (in california). what's up
