Answer:	Yes.It has an I/M Readiness mode that is able to show you the details of the readiness of each major emission monitor. There is even a button on the device that can select this directly without having to navigate through the menus.There is also a lamp on the device that indicates if any emission monitor is not ready.It is my understanding that the requirements for I/M readiness for each vehicle may differ from state to state.I had a problem with an air monitor coming ready after I identified, resolved, and cleared the underlying code. It took miles of specific type of driving to clear this monitor status (which cannot be cleared by the device.)When I returned to the inspection station I was informed that all monitors are not required to be ready to pass New York state inspection, and that my extra driving for this situation was unnecessary.

How to update the FX2000?

Update this scan tool via USB cable or TF card, here's the upgrade guide via USB cable following.

Step 1: Before starting the upgrade, please connect this device to a computer via the USB cable, and make the network connection stable. (It supports WIN XP, 7, 8, 10 operating systems.)

Step 2: Download the update software from ANCEL official website (refer to the manual) and install it on a PC.

Step 3: Open the software tool, select the connection mode “USB” and click “OK” to continue. The "Product Serial Number" will be read automatically, then hit “Device Upgrade”.

Step 4: Move to the register page, type your email address and Register Code will be read automatically, then hit “Submit”.

Step 5: Click “Select All” and click “Download” to start downloading.

Step 6: When the 2 progress bars reach 100%, the upgrade completes. Click “Quit” and disconnect the USB cable.

Please Note:

• If the screen freezes during the upgrade progress, please disconnect the USB cable, and try it again.

Sorry, NT301 obdii scanner is able to read and clear check engine information which is part of OBDII system, but it cannot work on non-OBDII systems(ABS/airbag/oil service light,ect.). Answer:	yes, I'm using Windows Phone 8 on Nokia 920 with OBDAutoDoctor application. You need to connect the PIC18F2480 via Bluetooth, before starting an OBD2 scan tool application. On Windows Phone 8 only a few OBD2 app are available. OBDAutoDoctor is free but get only some information from the car. I just found how to unlock the pro version...It's a in-app purchase...click "..." at the bottom of the app to upgrade. The Pro version is available for $7.99.

However we make the following recommendations:1) Do not leave the adapter plugged in if it will not be driven for 24-48 hours2) If your area is to be experiencing extreme cold unplug the adapter as the combination of cold and the adapter will drain it faster3) If your battery is more than a 1-2 years old you will want to be very careful about leaving it plugged in, older batteries do not hold the same juice as the newer ones4) If you have an electronics heavy vehicle such as BMWs tend to be we do not recommend leaving it plugged in as the vehicles electronics do not always fully power down either5) If you have any other device plugged into the vehicle while it is off via cigarette ports or whatever we then also recommend removing the adapterI hope that these tips and information are found helpful. Answer:	I can confirm that this adapter WILL read (I haven't tried to clear yet) ABS codes on Ford (2001 Ranger 4.0L), using FordSysFree or MotorDataOBD Free (both Android). ABS codes are in the Cxxxx range. Mine picked up, correctly, C0034 - Front Right Wheel Speed Sensor Failure. While other adapters may be able to read these codes with other Android Apps, this ELM327 BAFX adapter does capture ABS codes for Ford. That is the only one I can confirm. Yes, FORScan for PC should also pick up these codes with this adapter. I have not tested Torque PRO, but I don't believe it will read ABS codes with this adapter.

What is OBD-II?

On-board diagnostics (OBD) is an automotive term referring to a vehicle's self-diagnostic and reporting capability. Vehicles produced after 1996 use OBD-II, which is a standardized system that simplifies the process a whole lot. These vehicles all use a common diagnostic connector and a set of universal trouble codes. Though only emission-related codes and data are required to be transmitted through it according to U.S. legislation, most manufacturers have made the OBD-II Data Link Connector the main connector in the vehicle through which all systems are diagnosed and reprogrammed.

At the most basic level, the check engine light indicates that some sensor, somewhere in your engine, exhaust, or transmission, has provided unexpected data to computer. That could indicate a problem with the system the sensor is responsible for monitoring, a bad sensor, or even a wiring issue.

Why I can't erase the fault code?

Once the monitors are reset, the MIL will either remain out because the DTC was corrected by the proper repair, or it will illuminate because it has again detected the problem.
