CODE DEFINITION

There is a built-in up-to-date OBD-II DTC look-up library in this device. Fault codes and their definitions can be found in the library. A 2.4" TFT true color (262K) LCD display is fitted to provide a clear reading of the information contained in it. After a fault code is detected, the definition of the code will be shown by directly clicking the fault code selected.

DATA STREAM

The scan tool lets you view "real-time" Live Data. This information includes values (volts, rpm, temperature, speed etc.) and system status information (open loop, closed loop, fuel system status, etc.) generated by the various vehicle sensors, switches and actuators. Answer:	Hi there, I am with BAFX Products. Sadly it will not read any ABS/SRS?VSC or any other codes. The only codes it is able to read are those which cause your vehicles "check engine" light to illuminate. Any other lights require more specialized tools for reading. Best regards, BAFX Products

Answer:	yes, I'm using Windows Phone 8 on Nokia 920 with OBDAutoDoctor application. You need to connect the PIC18F2480 via Bluetooth, before starting an OBD2 scan tool application. On Windows Phone 8 only a few OBD2 app are available. OBDAutoDoctor is free but get only some information from the car. I just found how to unlock the pro version...It's a in-app purchase...click "..." at the bottom of the app to upgrade. The Pro version is available for $7.99.

However we make the following recommendations:1) Do not leave the adapter plugged in if it will not be driven for 24-48 hours2) If your area is to be experiencing extreme cold unplug the adapter as the combination of cold and the adapter will drain it faster3) If your battery is more than a 1-2 years old you will want to be very careful about leaving it plugged in, older batteries do not hold the same juice as the newer ones4) If you have an electronics heavy vehicle such as BMWs tend to be we do not recommend leaving it plugged in as the vehicles electronics do not always fully power down either5) If you have any other device plugged into the vehicle while it is off via cigarette ports or whatever we then also recommend removing the adapterI hope that these tips and information are found helpful. Question:	Can you use this to diagnosis why check engine light is on and figure out why car wont start? even of car wont start
Answer:	I can confirm that this adapter WILL read (I haven't tried to clear yet) ABS codes on Ford (2001 Ranger 4.0L), using FordSysFree or MotorDataOBD Free (both Android). ABS codes are in the Cxxxx range. Mine picked up, correctly, C0034 - Front Right Wheel Speed Sensor Failure. While other adapters may be able to read these codes with other Android Apps, this ELM327 BAFX adapter does capture ABS codes for Ford. That is the only one I can confirm. Yes, FORScan for PC should also pick up these codes with this adapter. I have not tested Torque PRO, but I don't believe it will read ABS codes with this adapter.

On-Board Monitor Test

Will it read ABS/ airbag codes?

Sorry, NT301 obdii scanner is able to read and clear check engine information which is part of OBDII system, but it cannot work on non-OBDII systems(ABS/airbag/oil service light,ect.). While FOXWELL NT630 Plus can reset airbag/abs service light, FOXWELL NT614 Elite support transmission and can reset oil service light and EPB, and FOXWELL NT624 Elite can do a full-system diagnostics.

Answer:	Yes, it will. MS309 is a basic OBD2 scanner that can work on all OBD2 compliant vehicles to read and clear OBD2 codes. As long as your 2000 Toyota Prado is OBD2 compliant, it should work fine to read and clear OBD2 codes.
Question:	Can this detect a vacuum leak with no engine light on
Answer:	As far as I know it will, I have not personally used it on a Nissan yet but have on various makes and models up to 2017 and on diesels and so far as long as it has a obd2 port it will work, there will be some pids it won't respond to but have not ran into that issue

Answer:	OBD2 is the standard across all US cars. Some manufacturers also add brand specific codes, which may or may not be supported by the code reader. Sound like you have a vehicle/manufacturer specific code not supported by a $20 reader.
