Answer:	No, it doesn't. I've owned Fixd since it came out; use it on three vehicles and have never been asked to pay for error code information. The error codes come with plain English explanations; in addition, Fixd tells you what level of seriousness the error code implies.
Question:	Can Fixd clear trouble codes and reset the light
Answer:	Yes! FIXD definitely lets you reset your check engine light. Once you scan your vehicle with the free FIXD App, you'll be able to see the codes present as well as a plain, English explanation then you'll also have the ability to clear your light.
Question:	Does it work with an iPhone
Answer:	The SmartPhone app (FREE download & no additional fees) works on Android or IOS (Apple iPhone) operating systems, but NOT on Windows based devices at present.
Question:	Has anybody bought this who already owned a code reader. Did it provide any additional useful info
Answer:	No. Without the subscription you can only read and turn off your check engine light that's it. I don't know what turning off your check engine light is suppose to do for you because the problem is still there until you get it fixed. Paying a monthly or yearly subscription is insane. Remember this is only a Bluetooth interface between your car and your phone. You can always download another app from the app store, that's what I did. I downloaded an app called car scanner ELM OBD2 and it works just great and it's completely free. There are a lot to choose from at the app store. When you're trying to get it connected it will ask you for some kind of password or something which normally is either 0000 or 1234, I forgot which one of those I used.

How to update the FX2000?

Update this scan tool via USB cable or TF card, here's the upgrade guide via USB cable following.

Step 1: Before starting the upgrade, please connect this device to a computer via the USB cable, and make the network connection stable. (It supports WIN XP, 7, 8, 10 operating systems.)

Step 2: Download the update software from ANCEL official website (refer to the manual) and install it on a PC.

Step 3: Open the software tool, select the connection mode “USB” and click “OK” to continue. The "Product Serial Number" will be read automatically, then hit “Device Upgrade”.

Step 4: Move to the register page, type your email address and Register Code will be read automatically, then hit “Submit”.

Step 5: Click “Select All” and click “Download” to start downloading.

Step 6: When the 2 progress bars reach 100%, the upgrade completes. Click “Quit” and disconnect the USB cable.

Please Note:

• If the screen freezes during the upgrade progress, please disconnect the USB cable, and try it again.

CODE DEFINITION

Will it read ABS/ airbag codes?

Sorry, NT301 obdii scanner is able to read and clear check engine information which is part of OBDII system, but it cannot work on non-OBDII systems(ABS/airbag/oil service light,ect.). While FOXWELL NT630 Plus can reset airbag/abs service light, FOXWELL NT614 Elite support transmission and can reset oil service light and EPB, and FOXWELL NT624 Elite can do a full-system diagnostics.

Device Setup Instructions(The User Manual has all details for the APP):

• Step 1: Download and install the APP on your phone / pad.
• Step 2: Locate the OBD2 diagnostic port and Plug the device into the 16-Pin Data Link Connector (DLC) of your vehicle. Make sure the connection is good. “RED LED” always on for power indication. “BLUE LED” flashes when plug in for paring or in communication with ECU. When no communication, the “BLUE LED” might be off.
• Step 3: Turn ignition key to the ON position (or start up the vehicle running at idle speed).
• Step 4: Enable Bluetooth on your phone / tablet. (!!!!!! On iOS devices: You will see "NEXAS" on the list of Bluetooth devices, but DO NOT pair with it from here. 1. It's recommended that you unplug the device if it will not be used for some time (on cars with old batteries, the time should be shorter).
2. Do not operate the app when driving. Always be safe and focus on driving.
3. Simply erasing the trouble code does not mean the fault have been solved. You should repair your vehicle as soon as possible.
4. Not all trouble codes can be read out as OBD2 is specially designed for engine system diagnostics other than systems like ABS, SRS, VSC, TPMS etc. Use different protocols to communicate so check the app capabilities. Generally what you can do with the device on your car depends on what features the app provides.

What is OBD-II?

On-board diagnostics (OBD) is an automotive term referring to a vehicle's self-diagnostic and reporting capability. Vehicles produced after 1996 use OBD-II, which is a standardized system that simplifies the process a whole lot. These vehicles all use a common diagnostic connector and a set of universal trouble codes. Though only emission-related codes and data are required to be transmitted through it according to U.S. legislation, most manufacturers have made the OBD-II Data Link Connector the main connector in the vehicle through which all systems are diagnosed and reprogrammed.

At the most basic level, the check engine light indicates that some sensor, somewhere in your engine, exhaust, or transmission, has provided unexpected data to computer. That could indicate a problem with the system the sensor is responsible for monitoring, a bad sensor, or even a wiring issue.

Why I can't erase the fault code?

Once the monitors are reset, the MIL will either remain out because the DTC was corrected by the proper repair, or it will illuminate because it has again detected the problem.
