Answer:	In my opinion a hydrometer of this type is only useful for measuring the specific gravity of the liquid prior to distillation.

Answer:	I believe so. As long as the sample is lighter than water and there is no free sugar suspension, I believe that you should be able to get a ready but it will be in ‘proof’ and % of alcohol. That is the best answer that I can off but not a definite yes.

Answer:	The hydrometer does not work in drinks that have sugars in them. You may be adding sugar and not get an accurate reading. The best way to do this would be to know the proof of your base alcohol and use ratio mixing to determine your alcohol content.

Answer:	It may need to be, however simply spinning the hydrometer and forcing the bubbles off the surface of said hydrometer should give you an accurate reading. I do this with my mead and it works every time.

Answer:	You need a device with Bluetooth to connect to the tilt. If no device, you will not be able to collect the data. Find an older iPhone and connect it to your WiFi and to the tilt, send the data collect automatically to google sheets
Question:	How high above the surface does the top rise up

Answer:	Yes, it's an FDA-listed and NSF-approved medical grade plastic (Makrolon 2458) safe for direct contact with food or human tissue. The reason we use medical grade polycarbonate vs. other plastics is so it can be steam sterilized, boiled, and and is compatible with a variety of sanitizers (iodophor, Starsan, alcohol, etc)

Our “why”: We are homebrewers and this business was born out of our simple desire to replace our broken gear with higher quality options. We live in the Blue Mountains (hence our mountain logo). A hydrometer is used to measure the specific gravity of the electrolyte (acid water mix) solution in each cell. It's a tool used to measure the density or weight of a liquid compared to the density of an equal amount of water. A lead acid battery cell is fully charged with a specific gravity of 1.265 at 80° F. If using the unit with water only, the pointer will point down to water.
