Question:	Why do you need so many pads? Couldn't you get a nice polish with a single pad
Answer:	You can get a nice polish with one pad. However, some people choose to use a multi stage process for reconditioning or correcting paint. For example, you may use a heavy cut compound to fix surface imperfections, then a polish to produce shine, then a finish or wax. Each color pad would be for one of the steps so you don't cross contaminate products.

Answer:	As far as I can tell, the black and white pads are the same. Same goes for the yellow and blue. However, the yellow and blue pads are "dimpled" rather than flat as are the black and white ones.

Answer:	It's a gritty pad, its usually if your needing to sand something down without using sandpaper.
Question:	How can polishing pads be cleaned
Answer:	I cleaned mine like any other polishing pads, soaped up real good then keep rinsing til clear as possible. And I believe it's because not all surfaces are flat,car doors and hoods are molded with ridges and other designs so use the lumpy ones as to not scratch the surface trying to get the best angle! Hope it helps.

Answer:	Black pads give a fine polish.
Question:	Is the thread of the backing pads
Answer:	Mine shipped with a 5" pad containing what appeared to be a poorly formed 5/8-11 nut. Turns out it's an M14x1.5, (poorly formed) . If this is the case for everyone, then no. 5/8 NC is the std. not M14, and it did not fit any of my buffers, polishers, or grinders.

Answer:	There are 2 files, one is double sided with the smoothing stone on one side and the foot scrubber on the other side. That one comes out to clean under it.

How To Use It:

1) Shake well and apply 4-5 drops of V36 to Orange Pad.

2) Prime pad with Pad Conditioner.

3) Dab product out evenly across 2' x 2' section.

4) Turn on machine on surface to speed setting 1 to spread product.

5) Increase speed to 5-6 and using moderate pressure.

6) Work area in 2-3 passes until product becomes clear.

7) Examine results. If you are satisfied with results, proceed to step 10.

8) If you are not satisfied with results, try using V34 with the Orange Pad; if you are satisfied, proceed to step 10.

9) If an even more aggressive approach is needed, switch to the Yellow Cutting Pad.

10) Refine finish with white pad and V38 Final Polish.

11) Work until optical clarity is achieved.

12) Remove residue with clean microfiber towel.

Answer:	The pads I received with this kit are the 5.5" variety.

Answer:	Yes. You pick what type of wax, compounds, glaze(s), you want to use. This machine is replacing the elbow grease you would be needing with a rag. But the chemicals and steps you choose to take to make that final car of yours shine is what you need to figure out. Chemical guys has plenty of great products and great you tube videos and tutorials. This machine works great. Just gotta know what waxes and othe products you need based on the current condition of the paint/car is in.

Answer:	This one is 680 watts, fx is 700. The overall shape differs also, if you are going to do your own cars this is fine, if your doing this for business get the fx.
