8 best 1 ton truck tires
One-ton truck tires, also known as heavy-duty truck tires, are designed for larger vehicles such as one-ton trucks, which include models like the Ford F-350, Chevrolet Silverado 3500, and Ram 3500. These trucks are known for their ability to handle heavy payloads and towing, so the tires used on them need to be robust and capable of withstanding significant loads and tough terrains. Here are some key points to consider about one-ton truck tires:
Load Capacity: One-ton truck tires are designed to handle heavy loads, often with load ratings that far exceed those of regular passenger car tires. They are built to support the weight of the truck itself, plus cargo and towing capacity.
Size and Fitment: These tires come in various sizes and styles to fit different one-ton truck models. The size of the tire depends on the specific truck and its intended use, including whether it's a dual rear wheel (DRW) setup.
Tread Patterns: One-ton truck tires come in different tread patterns, including all-terrain and mud-terrain options. The choice of tread pattern depends on the intended use of the truck. All-terrain tires offer a balance between on-road and off-road performance, while mud-terrain tires are more aggressive and designed for challenging off-road conditions.
Durability: Durability is a critical factor for these tires, given the demands of heavy-duty trucks. They are built with reinforced sidewalls and thicker tread compounds to resist punctures and damage from rough terrain.
Traction: Traction is essential, especially for trucks used in off-road or challenging conditions. Mud-terrain tires have deep, aggressive treads that provide excellent traction in muddy, rocky, or loose terrain, while all-terrain tires offer a compromise between on-road and off-road performance.
Speed Rating: One-ton truck tires typically have lower speed ratings compared to passenger car tires because they are not designed for high-speed performance. These tires prioritize load-carrying capacity and durability over speed.
Sidewall Construction: Some one-ton truck tires come with reinforced sidewalls, which can be beneficial for heavy-duty applications. This feature helps protect the tire from damage when navigating rough terrain.
Tire Pressure: Maintaining the correct tire pressure is crucial for safety and performance. It's essential to adhere to the manufacturer's recommended tire pressure for your specific truck and tire combination.
Rotation and Maintenance: Regular tire maintenance, including rotation, balancing, and proper alignment, is important to ensure even wear and maximize tire lifespan.
Cost: One-ton truck tires can vary significantly in price depending on the brand, size, and intended use. High-quality, durable tires may cost more but can provide better long-term value.
When selecting one-ton truck tires, it's important to consider your specific needs, including whether you prioritize on-road comfort, off-road capability, towing capacity, or a combination of these factors. Additionally, consult your vehicle's owner's manual or a tire professional to ensure you choose tires that are appropriate for your truck's specifications and usage.

Radar Angler RST22
The Radar Angler RST22 is a touring all season tire manufactured for trailers. The ribbed tread design and special compound enhance the all weather traction, while the wide grooves prevent hydroplaning. The internal structure maintains the optimal shape, enhancing the tire’s load carrying capability. This, along with the better road contact, improves the model’s controllability by the towing vehicle. The special radial construction lowers the rolling resistance, ensuring lower levels of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The Radar Angler RST22 offers a longer lasting even tread wear thanks to the decreased rolling resistance and even pressure distribution.

User questions & answers
Question: | Any miles per gallon experience compared to other "aggressive tread " or "highway tread" tires |
Answer: | I cannot comment on miles per gallon difference except to say, These tires are made for traction and no so much for highway driving. They ride fine on the highway, but of course will not be less per-gallon than highway tread. I purchased these for snow and ice traction, for which they are great. |
Question: | This is a good tire for E350 super duty van |
Answer: | This is a softer rubber tire with great snow and ice traction (primarily purchased for winter snow removal). When first used we were able to plow a 2"-3" light snow in 2wd. That's how good of traction these tires have. Due to the grabbing tread the tires are also susceptible to having gravel lodged in the tread from graveled surfaces. I would not buy these for longevity as the tread will wear faster (highway driving). These tires for us are used for local (less than 7 mile radius, less than 10,000 mi. per year) and for construction work/service conditions. For highway driving I would consider a harder tread. |
Question: | What warranty you guys offer |
Answer: | We are an authorized Kumho dealer and they would come with the manufacture warranty. We do have an optional road hazard option as well for purchase. Thanks! |
Question: | is this a load range e tire |
Answer: | This is going to be an E rated tire. Thanks! |
Question: | I'm assuming these are a load range E 10 ply |
Answer: | You would be assuming correctly. Yes load range E. These are incredible tires for the price. I have no idea how many miles these tires will go because my motor-home only travels 4-500 miles a year. But before I installed these tires my motor-home had a tendency to "wander" as in, I had to hold really pay attention and keep compensating to stay in my lane. Now I can easily drive one handed and the ride is so much more solid. |
Question: | I see some of you put this on a light vehicle. Is the ride very rough |
Answer: | No ! |
Question: | How is the wear on these tires? Are they lasting or wearing out fast? Are they keeping there shape? How many miles have you put on your set |
Answer: | Put about 6000 miles so far. Can't see signs of wear yet. Seem to ride smooth. |
Question: | I have a 1 ton dually with a 1 and a half ton pickup on it, what tire pressure should i have these tires at???camper |
Answer: | These tires are made for light duty trucks. |

The Claw has a classic, rugged and aggressive look that will have everyone doing a double take. The Claw is TreadWright’s answer for an aggressive tread design that at its core is a mud-terrain, but with design features that truly make it an any-terrain tire. The enhanced footprint, provides an aggressive off-road appearance, improves rock climbing and glossy surface traction but performs equally well on dry and smooth surfaces. It is designed to accept #17 studs. If looking for versatility and great performance, this one delivers. TreadWright has been manufacturing remolded tires in the USA for over 30 years. TreadWright uses a remold manufacturing process that is nearly identical to new tire manufacturing. The process starts with a premium casing (Goodyear, Michelin etc.) that has passed a complete integrity inspection. Occasionally we will repair and vulcanize a pinhole leak in an otherwise approved, quality inspected casing. The used tread is buffed off the casing and then completely rebuilt with a new commercial grade tread compound. The rebuilt casing is then remolded with the same presses and manufacturing processes used to cure new tires. These Bead to Bead tires have additional rubber added to the sidewalls and they are remolded with our TreadWright brand. The tread is a commercial grade rubber compound, which has proven to provide up to 25% more tread life than comparable imports in on/off road terrain. Recycled/remolded tires are used in 80% of commercial airlines, emergency response vehicles and school buses all across the US. The DOT has determined that remolded tires and new tires have the exact same defect rate. TreadWright Tires are produced with 70% recycled materials. Each TreadWright tire uses approximately 6 gallons of oil compared to 18 gallons for a new tire. Join the Remold Revolution! We offer the best value 245/75R16

User questions & answers
Question: | Is unicorn tire corp owned by the chinese |
Answer: | Not sure, but the tires are a great deal. |
Question: | Is this an 80 psi tire |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | How do i register my tires that i purchased on amazon and installed at sears? sears gave me a paper and said that i need to register them online |
Answer: | Does the paper have instructions? |
Question: | Can anyone fill me in on road noise at highway speeds or even around town? Any updates on wear |
Answer: | Hawaii roads are the most harsh because the rain eats away the road and leaves the medium stones to pop out like a sore thumb. With that said, I got these in the beginning of 2020 with 2,000 miles on them...still looks brand new, pople always comment on the tires. The noise is vary little at all on a gutted van. The only thing I was worried was balancing the tires because what people were commenting about.....what a waste if you can't balance a brand new tire and the tire place won't mount them because they won't balance......I ran into a guy at a tire shop and he said he knows how to balance them....he puts weights on the inner and outer of the tire. I would get these tires again. |
