Answer:	The only thing I can think of is that the small 'bar' to create slack is not pulled out, or that the chain is not centered properly. After everything is connected properly the slack 'bars' should be pushed in to create tension.

Answer:	I went to Peerless' website and types in the make and model of my car. They were the ones who recommended the tire chains for my car so it has to be ok. This is the second set of peerless auto trac tire chains I've bought and I really love them. They are so simple to install and self tighten so you don't have to worry about them loosening or falling off.

Answer:	2 Chains, 1 per drive tire. I actually bought a second set last winter because the rear of my Park Ave wanted to walk away from me around corners and down steep hills. I put them on all 4 tires and my problem is solved. I have so much control now. I can push on the brake real hard and put myself forward in the seat belt, there is that much grip.

Answer:	Auto-trac are actual chains (in a diamond pattern). SCC-brand Z-chain (and super Z6) are cables type chains. All meet S-class for thickness, while the Super Z6 are 6mm. The Z-chains and Super Z-6 have a diagonal pattern, and which wire is wrapped by the steel cable, which bites into the snow and ice. Auto-trac, as the name implies are auto-tightening and self-centering. Super Z6 requires rubber tensioners. Z-chain does not, but needs to be retightening after you drive them for a short distance.

Question:	Why won't these fit any 19"? But, they fit 18 and
Answer:	This specific chain does not fit just any 18" or 20" tire size !!! Please keep in mind that there are three (3) different measurements to determine tire size. There is the width, the height from rim to tread and the wheel diameter. A change in any one of these can affect the size of a chain that will fit. You must go to the chain manufacturer's sizing chart with your exact tire size and look for the chain that will fit that specific tire. Never try to place chains on tires they were not designed to fit as it could be very dangerous and cause possible damage to your vehicle. Answer:	Yes they come with a nice container per set(2). I have a 4-wheel truck so it came with 2 containers, (2) sets. The containers will hold the rubber chain tightners also.

Answer:	It is Always best to have chains on all wheels if your car/truck has 4wd. If you use them occacionaly just for a little extra traction on snow-coverd roads you'll manage with 2. Rear wheels on level terrain, front wheels up/downhill.

Answer:	Yes, they do come with the tensioners, they work well as long as you have a little straight away for them to adjust themselves. I've used mine to get out of an icy mess, but the tensioners popped off. They cables stayed on long enough to unstick the truck, and get up the solid ice driveway.

Question:	Do you know how to replace the red plastic "chain shortening hooks"? I contacted Thule and they stated I need to buy new chains
Answer:	I would try a lowes or home depot, local hardware store for a high strength carabener , may need two , im sure they could hook you up with something, take the chains with you also. I had to lengthen the chain that completesthe triangle on the outside of the tire. Good Luck!
