Answer:	I measured the thickness of the posts. It is 0.086 inches thick which means it is 14 gauge steel. The safety bars are 1 inch solid steel. They are not hollow.

Answer:	Dimensions: The rack has a 46 inch wide and 50 inch deep foot print. The top of the pull up bar is 83 3/4 inch off the floor. The sides are 78 3/4 inch. The working area is 42 inch wide between posts and 24 inch deep between posts. The posts have 19 one inch holes that start 13 1/8 inch OC off the floor and are 3 inch OC apart. Every third hole has a small U shaped notch to make it easier to identify the same level between posts. There are 2 solid steel safety pins 1 inch in diameter which are 32 1/4 inches long thereby providing the 24 inch length between posts and 3 1/4 inch bar catch on the outside of the rack.. The safety pins weigh 7.5 lbs each. There are 2 safety hooks that are 6 3/8 inches long including the 3 1/4 inch bar catch and weigh 1.0 lb each. The safety pins and hooks are polished chrome and look very nice.The assembled rack is listed at 137 lbs; however, I was not able to measure this myself.

Answer:	I put mine on a 2004 Honda Element, with tire size P-215/70 R-16 99T. Not sure what all those numbers mean, but that's what they say on the side. I can easily cinch them up to the tightest adjustment, so if your tires are a little larger, you'll be ok. If your tires are smaller, they probably won't work.

Answer:	Yes, the large rubber O-ring with plastic clips is included. It is required - the chains won't work without it. The cable chains are sized to fit the tire with enough slack to allow you to connect the metal links while the tire remains on the ground. The O-ring draws the cable chain very tight, the final plastic clip requires effort to attach.

Answer:	Never put meat on your tires. First, it becomes largely inedible from all the dirt grime on the road. If you want thin sliced meat, many Mexican style grocers sell thin cut meats at very fair prices. Second, if using a meat like Bacon, it has a tendency to get very slippery when draped on the tire. It's hard to find bacon in long enough lengths to cover the tire. Ground meat is a no go. While you can get it for a low cost, the ground meat plugs the tread on the tires and flings off, sticking inside the wheel well and on the under body. This meat gets rancid, rots, and attracts vermin. The best place to store meat is in a cooler in your car, but only for short periods of time. Never store meat on the tires.

Answer:	Yes they come with a nice container per set(2). I have a 4-wheel truck so it came with 2 containers, (2) sets. The containers will hold the rubber chain tightners also.

Answer:	It is Always best to have chains on all wheels if your car/truck has 4wd. If you use them occacionaly just for a little extra traction on snow-coverd roads you'll manage with 2. Rear wheels on level terrain, front wheels up/downhill.

Answer:	Yes, they do come with the tensioners, they work well as long as you have a little straight away for them to adjust themselves. I've used mine to get out of an icy mess, but the tensioners popped off. They cables stayed on long enough to unstick the truck, and get up the solid ice driveway.

There is the width, the height from rim to tread and the wheel diameter. A change in any one of these can affect the size of a chain that will fit. You must go to the chain manufacturer's sizing chart with your exact tire size and look for the chain that will fit that specific tire. Never try to place chains on tires they were not designed to fit as it could be very dangerous and cause possible damage to your vehicle. Answer:	I live in Lake Tahoe. Last year the law with regard to 4WD vehicles. Chains are now required on all 4WD vehicles that are not equipped with ATV tires. Prior to going over any of the passes, the CHP checks every car and absolutely no exceptions are granted. Even with a 4WD vehicle equipped with ATV tires things can get real ugly real quick. Spend the extra money and buy a good set. Installing them on both front and rear axles will give you even greater traction and lessen your odds of joining the trail of carnage that occurs every year....

Answer:	When I purchased these tighteners, they came as a pair. I bought two packages for my four chains.
Question:	Can these be used for any cable chain, or are they specific to security chain products
Answer:	I'm sure that will work fine. I have a four-wheel drive car and truck and I usually just put the chains on the front. If the ice is really, really bad, I put them on all four. 90% of the time, putting them on the front two is fine.
Question:	What is the diameter of the rubber? Does it work for a SZ 143 model
Answer:	It was 2 adjusters... 1 pair.
Question:	Are the yellow clips plastic? Anyone have those break off
Answer:	Yes. I love mine. Also buy rubber tensioners for each separate tire. Throw an old tarp in your trunk so will have something dry to lie upon while you fasten the chains on the tires.
