Answer:	The associated product (Kohler 84999 toilet anchor seat) for this question is to be used for a one piece toilet. If that is the case, I was unsuccessful in trying to install the seat with this kit.

Answer:	I had to borrow a bolt cutter to remove them, and they fell into the cavity below, which is fine. My screws were frozen in place. Once I got them out, installing new ones with the kit was easy. I tried buying anchors in a local hardware store, but I couldn't find the right size.

Answer:	The hard part is removing the old broken screw, which needs the 84999 Kohler kit. If the screws on the new sear are not attacned, the same Kohler kit will help you tighten them

Answer:	Any long toilet seat will work Forget the Kohler rip off c**p remove the existing anchor, hammer claw if the bolt is still there, drill anchor out if required. Masonery bit to enlarge the hole to accept a 3/16 toggle bolt. (Smaller ones break too easily; experience!). Bolt should be no longer than 2" to fit. Total cost fifty cents. Total time thirty minutes. Total feeling satisfaction!

Question:	just install this toilet and the bowl fills all the way up without stopping ,is there any adjustment they needs to be done
Answer:	I carry the bottom waste tank to the campground toilet along with two gallon jugs of treated water. I dump the waste first. Then I pour in 1/3 to 1/2 a gallon of treated water. Swish around and drain into the camp toilet. Check to see how clean it is or if there's an area that needs extra effort. Usually not. And then use the gallon up in 1 to 2 more rinses and swishes and draining. I use the very same products that they recommend to keep a toilet like this to not smell and develop problems with the waste and helps to break up and sanitize the waste too. I find this has worked well with no ill effects to me or my portable loo itself. Now I hate this loo since it's battery power flusher arrived busted and I did not realize it was broken until the wires themselves also broke off since it just dangled under the screw cap. That is another issue and trying to find a replacement import to fix it or switch it to a manual loo. I recommend looking for a different model or buying the manual flush version not this one. The company does not support it in the USA only in Europe under a different name.

Answer:	Yes I noticed this also the reason is this toilet has bigger tanks then my older one and the larger the tank the more air pressure can build inside of it the easy fix for this is before you use the toilet wad a few squares of toilet paper and set it directly over the hole and then close the lid and open the slide on the toilet slowly and that will let the pressure out and You won’t get splash in the face then you’re good to go and you might want to do that every time if it’s going to be hot where you’re at or if you’ve changed altitude.

Answer:	Susan - the toilet separates with a latch into top and bottom halves. The bottom half iss the waste tank. When you separate the halves you will see a tube with a screw cap that swivels out to the side. This will serve as the spout to enable you to pour the waste into any flush toilet. By "cabin toilet", I assume you mean a normal toilet with plumbing. If so, yes. If you mean a compost toilet, then you can empty the waste into it, but keep in mind that it will be up to 5 gallons, which could overload a small compost toilet. It's not particularly nasty to empty, especially if you press the small relief valve button before opening the cap on the waste spout. This will prevent splashback. When you pour the waste out, just do it slowly and gently to prevent "glugging" and splash. After the waste is emptied, just run some water back onto the pour spout, replace the cap, and slosh around a bit to rinse clean. Then empty the rinse water into the toilet as well. Make sure to replace the deodorant liquid before storing to eliminate odor. Answer:	This is a REALLY sore subject with this model toilet. The battery-powered flushing mechanism is short-lived, where it will suddenly and inexplicably break. Added to this is that Thetford doesn't offer a reasonable replacement for the flush mechanism in the U.S., they want to charge almost as much as the entire toilet unit! So if your flush mechanism breaks (and it will), then A) you can't flush the toiler from the toilet's reservoir water anymore, and B) you can't buy a replacement pump for less than the cost of a whole toilet.In the 1-star review section of this product I found that this same toilet is sold under a different name in Europe, and that replacement parts are actually available for it, so I was able to completely get rid of the battery pump and replace it with a manual one:Piston pump: 92401111 (Signal white) 9240166 (Light ivory) 92401130 (Ruby red)Electric pump: 92402135 (Light grey granite) 9240207 (Traffic grey)Hope this helps someone.

Answer:	Find the kohler hinge installation video on youtube. There are two "springs" that allow the slow close feature. Remove them or disable them and the lid will close very quickly (slam).

Answer:	The broken part is the hinge, or my case the plastic attached to the hinge that secures to the bowl with a screw and nut. One removes the old hinge assembly and installs this new one in 5 minutes. Since the toilet seat and the lid itself are intact and fine, this kit is a more economical solution. The hinge was about $15 and a whole new seat and hinge was $30-45.

Answer:	Both dampers are "circular" (actually cylindrical) but each one has separate raised areas that can only fit in the grooves of the assembly one way... they are not interchangeable. Does the seat's "slow-close" function properly ? Are you using the replacement ? Beware that the gray back cover may not be the correct one... the damper stops may not be fitting against the dampers, and have extra space that cause the dampers to move inward and the seat comes loose... use the original back cover... I just went through this and posted the warning in a review.... if your original gray back cover has extra spacing, you will have to find something to fill the extra space... maybe a wine cork trimmed to fit ?I had to replace mine because one of the dampers broke... did one of your dampers break ?
