Answer:	I think the chances are slim that a dog would be comfortable alone navigating these steps, but I could be wrong. There is nothing for a dog to land on at the first step. It might be easier for a dog if the first step or two was in the water. They could sort of push and propel themselves up the steps. The treads are quite narrow. I have a Yorkie. Answer:	The bolts and hardware to assemble the stair itself are included, but you will need to buy the bolts to physically attach to the step to your dock. There are many possible ways to attach and every dock is different so there is no single method that is universal. That said it is simple to do and any hardware store will have what you need once to figure out your method.

Answer:	Each leg is adjustable. The pier top is about 3.5 feet from lake bottom. Each leg is adjustable to fit the slop of the lake bottom. I believe the adjustments are about 2”.

Question:	Where can I obtain assembly instructions
Answer:	No idea. I looked at picture . My ladder was not drilled in one side and had unfinished welds. Works well now
Question:	Does this come with bolts to secure to dock
Answer:	No it does not, and the ladder will come loose from the little latches they send with the ladder when your dock rocks or if you do not go up and down carefully. It is made to be removable. Would not order again.
Question:	Will it hold 500 lbs without bending
Answer:	Would not trust it. Ladder I received was missing parts and very poorly assembled. Had to drill one side that was not complete and grind down sharp welds. Never heard a word from manufacturer even though I send pictures of problems.

Question:	How do they mount to a 3500 van
Answer:	You need a solid flat surface about 4" wide by 5" high. It mounts with four carriage bolts (two in the top, and two in the bottom). You can see the top two in the picture. Mounted on a bumper would probably work; not on sheet metal. You also need to make sure when the step is in the up position, it does not interfere with doors opening and closing.

Answer:	The Camco part number for the replacement feet (set of 4) is 43660. If you do an internet search for "Camco 43660" you should be able to find them.

Answer:	No. I don't know if the design changed in the past 5 years since all of these "yes - flat" answers were posted, but I just bought 2 of these today and the legs do NOT fold flat. They fold on top of each other, and not into the frame of the step, so that the folded thickness of the whole unit is approximately 3 times the thickness of the step platform. It's still better than a non-foldable step but it's not a flat profile 'tool'.
