Answer:	Yes, it can definitely be installed in house permanently. The box is water tight and heavy duty, will last forever inside. Only thing is this box is designed to be "surface mounted", is not designed to be flush mounted with sheet rock, though a work-around could perhaps be found to mount it sort of flush using some edge trim..

Answer:	I would say that they would, if the strands were twisted. It's actually designed for a 14 gauge solid wire. I had to really work to get a 12 gauge solid wire to fit in the slot. Just be sure that the strand is twisted enough to be held securely.

Answer:	It would fit into it, but you would have to make some modifications, the screw holes will not line up. This is not designed to go in a electrical box.

Answer:	Can be done but not easily. You will have to punch out the hole for the 30 amp recept in order to mount the larger 50 amp recept. Use a second 50 amp 2 pole breaker and #3 wire to feed it if you are going to run it this way.

Answer:	There are three potential holes on the bottom. They will be punch outs. The ones on the left and right can be punched out at two different sizes. 1 3/8 or 7/8. The middle one has 3 punch outs. Two inches, 1 3/8, and 7/8. Think of each as concentric circles inside the main circles. Hope that makes sense.

Answer:	ok this has a 30 amp breaker and SHOULD be the CONTROLLING breaker because here's the thing. at your MAIN panel you're gonna need a PRIMARY breaker (to make the hot connection to one of the two (or three if you're on 3 phase power)), 115vac bus bars. But it should be 40 amp NOT 30 amp! why? Because if you overload the circuit you want THIS breaker to blow rather than the inside main panel breaker, see? and yes as other viewers have stated you need to connect this sub breaker box to the main panel. I'd use #6 if you're running near 100 feet (placed in 3/4" gray conduit). 50 feet or less and you can get away with #8 wire (copper only in both cases). now you only need neutral and hot, see? but you need to ground this box with a ground rod & a short #4 solid bare copper (in my area #5 is code).. this saves you from running the third ground wire all the way from the main panel to this box (which is gonna be pricey). one final note.. these breakers trip by THERMAL OVERLOAD. thus for a short time you can severely overload the circuit. but only very briefly because these guys heat up fast. The main culprit in this regard is the A/C unit with its high start current.

Answer:	the large one under the hub cover (top) is 2" hole. On the right-left -bottom the knockout measure 7/8 1 1/8 1 3/8 and 1 3/4 increments (I don't know what trade size those correspond with)

Answer:	I don’t think it’s galvanized steel but it is rated for outdoor use so hopefully it holds up. We live in Florida and installed one. The metal is very thick. The knock out for pipe would not come out, we had to use a unibit to remove it.
