Answer:	I would try and get as much of the silicone off as I could. I used this product to seal around the edges of my rv's roof. One entire edge of the roof had been torn away. This product worked very good to reseal the roof after I patched around the edge. I use it in other places for sealing also. I did remove the old silicone where i could. It worked well over seams where I could not get old silicone off too. Good luck using it, I think you will be satisified Charlie, but follow the instructions.

Answer:	I used it to seal around the vent on top of my horse trailer which had an elastromeric rubber roof coating and it sealed exceptionally well. Way better than 'normal' caulk.

Answer:	Didn't measure inches but it covers a lot. One thing you need to know about this stuff that I found out later. This is super shiny and doesn't stick to fiberglass. I ended up having to remove it from every joint on my motorhome. It peeled right off in one long strip after being on there for 2 weeks. I won't use this again anywhere near fiberglass. The other thing was that it was so shiny that it reflected like a mirror. Looked awful and stood out!

Answer:	No the white one drys white. They have a clear one that dries clear. All of them a paintable too.

Answer:	RV sealant is more flexible and stays more flexible than silicone caulk. RVs vibrate and joints shift.

Answer:	If it's dry I've taken most of it off successfully with a straight-slot screwdriver, and then Goof Off removes the rest nicely--OR if it hasn't dried. (Goof Off will ruin many plastics, however; it works great on glass, fiberglas, metal, etc.) Goo Gone works, too (you need a lot more elbow grease), and it's safe on plastic, too. I'll put in a plug for this sealant, too; I've tried different caulks, and this one is far superior to any that require only soap-and-water cleanup. Good luck.

Answer:	I let it dry for 24 hours. Since it is self leveling it hardened up all within the 24 hours. One point - I used it on a aluminum roof surface.

Answer:	Yes! My RV roof is aluminum.. make sure you clean the area and make sure you rinse the area with clean water so that there is no Residue from whatever cleaner you use to clean the aluminum. Then simply apply Dicor. I did my RV I’ve had three rain falls and it is perfectly sealed. Also please note that it will take 30 to 40 days before it hardens like a rock. Until then it will be waterproof but it will be soft so don’t think that that’s abnormal. It’s totally normal for it to take up to 30 to 40 days before it completely hardens.

Question:	what is the coverage per gallon
Answer:	Product says 2 gallons will cover a 30 ft roof, but I found it was very thin. If you are touching up, then 1 gallon per 15ft of roof is correct. However, if your roof is now black instead of white (as mine was) you will need 2 gallons per 15x8 ft of roof to do a good, solid, opaque coat.
Question:	Can anyone confirm the color of this material is white
Answer:	I used this product on my RV rooftop. The coating is bright white. I used a roller to apply to the roof. The finish was reasonably smooth, but not slippery sleek. It is durable. In fact, I just cleaned my rooftop with a floorbrush and a bleach/soap/water mix. It washed clean, and the coating did not lift after a year of being applied. This coating does exfoliate like the rubber roof material, so the RV stayed cleaner and very minimal dirty black streaks from normal dirt. I rolled the coating, let it dry and went back to reseal a few places with the butyl caulk. I am happy with the result.
Question:	does hengs roof coat work well on rubber roof previously coated
Answer:	Yes, this product will work well on a previously coated rubber roof. Make sure all dirt/oils/grease is removed from the roof prior to application - recommend a hose and a cleaning/degreasing agent - I used Dawn dish liquid and a brush but others like Tide powder - both should give you acceptable cleaning results. Heng's has GREAT adhesion to all types of surfaces so you shouldn't have a problem.

Answer:	This stuff is great. I've never used Dicor, I have a 30' toy hauler. 3 gallons gave me 3 coats with a good amount left over. Start with a clean roof.

Steps:

1. Remove old, flaky caulking. Can coat over well adhered non-silicone caulking.
2. Ensure a clean, dry, and dust-free surface before application: power washing and biodegradable cleaner. A clean surface is the most important part of the prep. Acetone is a good final cleaner to wipe the roof down with before starting your application.

Answer:	I coated the sides and the floor of a 1200 gallon cistern and I have about half of the pail left. I really don't know how much the whole pail covers. The Damtite web site has more information that was very helpful for me.

Answer:	I purchased the 02551 Damtite waterproofer heavy duty in the 50 lb pail. The label says 5 year guarantee and safe for cisterns which is what I needed.

Answer:	Yes, put a few coats on. Let each coat dry well (24)hrs . You can spray on inside of pond. I used a undercoating product used for undercoating cars for the outside of pond. I put 3 coats on. I let each coat dry for 2 days before applying the next coat. All worked great my pond is like new and no leaks and all of my goldfish are fat and happy! Good luck! Take your time and cover every spot even sides. Make sure the pond is very clean before u start applications. I used a ruff kitchen pot scrubber to scrub clean.

Answer:	Our products adhere well to cement type materials but we haven't tested them on Hardie Plank Siding. I suggest applying a test area with one quart and you will know within a week whether it works properly.

Answer:	Depends on the size of the popup. I used to have a popup (10ft x 8ft) and I used 4 tubes on the entire camper every year to keep seals tight.

Answer:	Both are non-sag, but 501 is for horizontal surfaces and 551 is for vertical surfaces. Not sure what the difference is. The last letter indicates the color. (W=white)

Answer:	1/2 inch is a very big gap. You may need to have a different repair done, or at least put another form of filler in the gap and the caulk over that.

Answer:	This is the perfect product for sealing around your windows. You can use it to seal anything on the outside of your camper except anything adjacent to the vinyl roof material. Clean with alcohol wipes, let dry and apply a small bead. You need to move quickly as it skins over in short order.

Answer:	It totally depends on how much of the rv you are trying to seal! If it is everything on the rv I would say you need between 4 to 5 tubes.
Question:	Is this good for use on fiberglass
Answer:	My use of Geocel was for the connecting gelcoat panels of a Class C RV. These panels had separated, slightly, allowing minor water leakage. The Geocel not only sealed the cracks, it appeared to bond the panels keeping them very stable. I found this product to be superior to the Dicor caulks/sealants. I keep two tubes of Geocel on hand in my RV.
