Question:	Can you use this on a wood burning fireplace firebox
Answer:	Yes especially if it is an alloy box but if the box is made of wood you might want to seal and prime it with the high temperature primer first and make sure that there are no cracks before you go over it with the rust oleum high temp paint, for best results!
Question:	Can I use this paint to spray the outside of a wood burning stove
Answer:	I bought 6 cabs and did my gas grill inside and out. After it cured, I ran it for 30 minutes without food. I have a "holder" to grill fish so I am using that for all cooking so I and not cooking directly on the painted area. If after a month it holds up, I will do test cooking on it directly for the stray cats.

Answer:	You did not do anything wrong. This particular paint is not durable at all, but it withstands very very high temps. If you need high heat AND durability, then you need to look into some of the high heat Cerakote and Duracoat products, which are much more involved in applying than this is. I just answered another question on here, and in that answer I mentioned watching YouTube vids of ppl using this paint. In this vids, you'll see they are very delicate w the painted objects after cured when re-installing the object in a car engine compartment, for example. The ONLY thing this paint is good at is withstanding very high heat and being applied relatively easily and cheaply. Ps. I guess I should mention that this product is sometimes sold as an "enamel" but this particular paint is not truly what you'd call an enamel. Enamel implies high durability, and this does not have high durability.
Question:	What temperatures are required to cure the paint multiple times at various temperatures in an oven? Will the final coating survive any contact with food
Answer:	24 hours AFTER painted - place in oven one hour @ 175 degrees. A second curing a few hours later is sometimes helpful.Any contact with food in either direction is bad. (part to food / food to part)Make sure wife is out of town.Cook 2 or 3 pizzas one after another to help disguise smell.

Answer:	I have a 2015 Q50 hybrid Sport and I have the same problem, rust all over the exhaust system, and this was a California car. I am going to try to use Rust-Oleum rust reformer which turns rust black and then you can paint over it. I want to try it in a few spots and see how well it holds up to the heat of the exhaust system and if it looks good after week or so I'm going to go ahead and paint over the Rust-Oleum rust reformer with this product. I will post an update hear when available.

Answer:	I can’t see why not. Though I expect it might look slightly discolored if it gets terribly hot. Should perform better than high temp spray paint at any rate. Be sure to ventilate the space the first few times you use the stove. This paint uses heat to cure.

Answer:	This is what my husband said: yes. Or, he can sand the rust away, but the surface should always be paint-ready.

Question:	Does it need a primer for bad chrome exhaust headers on a motorcycle
Answer:	I didnt use primer because I I bought a wrecked (Bassani RR) pipe and just needed to cover the damage. Rust has started to show through after a year, so I used CLR and touched it up. If I did it again I would sand better and use VHT Flame Proof primer, ceramic, and clear. VHT Flame Proof withstands higher temps. But I wasn't painting chrome... you'll need all the help you can get (sanding, primer) for it to stick.

Answer:	Not sure this answers your question but I can tell you from experience that this stuff really works. I used it on my aluminum engine top side and it's been 2yrs and my engine paint still look new to date.

Answer:	i used this product on my 4 pistion calipers and tested them at my campus garage, i tested it under constant and heavy braking, it withstood temps up too 1989F. The red paint i used has been on there for 3 years and i still havent had to touch up the paint

Answer:	None of these answers are accurate. VHT Flame-proof paints require the user to cure the paint by applying heat in a baking style. If you are applying the paint to an object that you've removed from the vehicle: (1) Let paint dry completely. (2) Heat to 250°F for 30 minutes. (3) Cool for 30 minutes. (4) Heat to 400°F for 30 minutes. (5) Cool for 30 minutes. (6) Heat to 650°F for 30 minutes. If you can't fit the part that you're painting in the oven, then you'll have to put it back on the vehicle and follow the instructions for curing the paint while on your vehicle: (1) Let paint dry completely. (2) Run at idle for 10 minutes. (3) Cool for 20 minutes. (4) Run at idle for 20 minutes. (5) Cool for 20 minutes. (6) Run under normal operating conditions for 30 minutes. And there you go. Question:	Would a engine with a bad motor mount or two affect the curing process
Answer:	Unless your motor mounts are extremely bad I.E. your whole engine shakes around like an unbalanced washing machine, then it should not affect the curing process. If they are in fact that bad, then you should probably fix that before applying wet paint and attempting to cure it with a massive vibrator.

Answer:	No! will not stick to chrome..best bet is a Jet Hot Coating from a powder coater.. This stuff does not hold up well under high heat conditions, will flake off at the hot bends of pipes

Answer:	Since this paint gives you a wrinkle finish, it's difficult to say if it's flat or glossy. To me, it gives a sort of overall semi-gloss appearance.
