| Answer: | That is the same setup I am running. This pump is rated at "88 GPH at 9 PSI, It draws only 2 amps and has a maximum pressure of 14 PSI". So it is more than enough which is why the fuel pressure regulator is necessary. I believe it is recommended 7 psi for the carb. |

Or places like Advance Auto,Napa,etc. have cheap efficient solid state pumps that are small,easy to install and pretty much last forever. |

| Answer: | I think straight up. My thinking is the gas float goes up and down. It would not work RIGHT if it isn't straight. I don't know about any side port on a Chevy. That's the whole idea about this pump, you drill a hole in the top of the tank. You drop it in straight down , and seal it it up. Hope this helps. |
