Answer:	Techron has a web site and a contact number to call. Unless someone has opened up the engine block and tested how this additive performs, they are just guessing. Granted, Techron may just be trying to sell you something that you do not need, or need every 3,000 miles.
Question:	it's a real pain to open Techron bottle's seal. do you guys have any tips on opening it easily
Answer:	Don't try to peel it off. Just pierce it through the center (not at the edge) with a sharp pointed blade, like one on a little Swiss Army keychain knife. Leave the slit alone and don't try to peel any of the seal off. If you just pierce it in the center and don't try to pull off or peel any pieces it will remain intact and tightly adhere to the bottle neck and thus continue to provide an effective seal when you close the cap.
Question:	I found an old unopened bottle of the original concentrate, not the Plus. Probably 10 years old. Is it still OK to use
Answer:	Yes, its fine to use. The ingredients don't go bad for maybe 20 plus years or more

Question:	It's good to put it before fill up or after
Answer:	Dump it in at the pump before filling up. That way the fuel rushing into the tank will mix it in rather than dumping it in after filling. Eventually it'll attain uniform mixture but dump then pump will mix it right away.
Question:	I can run Sea Foam in the crankcase along with my oil at all times or just as a cleaner prior to changing the oil
Answer:	It says right on the bottle, you can add it in the crankcase 100-300 miles right BEFORE oil change.
Question:	how does it do in motor oil
Answer:	I just used Sea Foam in my oil for the first time. I have a 50 year old car with its original, never-rebuilt motor. The lifters have been tapping for awhile so I thought it was worth a try. I added Sea Foam to the crankcase oil according to the directions (1.5 oz. per quart of oil). I let the motor run for about 15 minutes. The lifter noise went away almost immediately. Afterwards, I changed the oil as normal. When I drained the old oil, it was noticeably thinner due to the presence of the Sea Foam. I added new oil and filter, and the engine runs like a top now. No more noise. This stuff is great.

Answer:	I'd say 1/2 to the full bottle. It will just clean the carbon faster. It doesn't hurt at all to run it that concentrated.

Answer:	The short answer is use this before the oil change at about one full gas tank away from the your oil change. After you run your full tank of gas almost empty, refill it, then change your oil ASAP. The long answer is due to modern engine designs with direct injection and high compression ratio, the gas injected into the combustion chamber will blow-by the piston rings causing the gas to dilute your oil. The nice thing is that it would probably not matter if you do a lot of driving at high way speeds for more than 1 hour each week as the blow-by gas will be recirculated into your combustion chamber to get burned of. If you do a lot of short trips and surface street driving, the engine never gets to operating temperature to burn off the excess blow-by gas, in such case, make god help your engine if it's in there for 5000 miles (oil is cheap, don't do 10,000 miles) or so. Again, the chemists at Shell Gas put a lot of cleaning agents into their gasoline and using Shell gas probably will not hurt your engine. The chemists at Gumout do not put again claims on their product, so be safe rather than sorry and use before oil change. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I would not recommend this for diesel engines, and would definitely not use it for an LPG-fueled engine.

Answer:	20 year auto tech. No. The O2 sensors are designed to detect changes in fuel. Specificly the air/fuel ratio. They are not as fragile as most people think. They in no way could be damaged by using this product. This is actually the only thing I use and can highly recommend when it comes to fuel additives.

Answer:	I'll tell you this the difference being only a few dollars considering this product is in the $10 range I wouldn't bother trying anything else. Question:	Can this be put into an injector cleaning system pressure cylinder and engine runs directly off this chemical or does it have to be blended with gas
Answer:	Mix 16oz bottle with 64oz (1/2 gal.) of diesel. Run directly into fuel lines on top of engine. Make sure to include the return line to your cylinder. My 02 Duramax took over 1 1/2 hrs to burn thru mixture. DO NOT put the cleaner in your fuel tank!!! Works great!

This product was designed to help eliminate noisy injectors & fuel pumps, rough idle, hard starting, and hesitation. While doing this, It will help maximize power, performance, and mileage. It is not intended to change or raise the octane level of the gasoline you use. To do that, we recommend our Rislone Super Concentrated Octane Booster product (part number 4747). Rislone Octane Booster will increase octane rating to stop engine hesitation and knock & ping, while also increasing power & performance. Typical results will increase octane over 20 points, or 2 rating numbers. One bottle is concentrated to treat up to 20 gallons of gasoline. How much will my fuel mileage improve?

This varies depending on the age of the vehicle, the quality of the fuel used, and how dirty the system is. It is normal for larger increases in MPG on the first dosage and then it will usually taper off and flatten out from the second dosage on. For best results use with every tank of fuel.
