Answer:	whenever they say ALL MAKES, the part is not a GM certified part. It's kind of complicated, but the official GM part will always have a long number (ex: 123478902) in addition to the AC-delco (short number) ex: 252-171. non GM certified parts will only have the ACD short number. Note: Sometimes the GM long number and the ACD short number happen to be the same. In this case, the numberr is listed twice. Once as ACD 12345, and then as GM 12345. Stay away from ACDelco Advantage line- those are also cheap parts intended to compete with other low-priced parts. ACDelco Professional and ACDelco OEM are the higher grade parts.
Question:	Does this pump come with the cast impeller like in the top picture or the stamped impeller from the bottom picture
Answer:	The one I have has the cast impeller as pictured in the first picture. The impeller shown in the second picture bears no resemblance to the pump I got. Wonder if the second pic was not even supposed to be posted with this item.

Answer:	not sure...never opened it. but its not real acdelco its identical to many other cheaper water pumps.

Answer:	Ac Delco has 3 quality lines. OEM (best) professional (better) advantage (good). This is a Professional line of AC Delco meaning it’s of lower quality that that of OEM grade to compete with parts store parts. If you have your water pump replaced at the dealer, you’d be given the options for this Professional line of pump to save money on repair costs. My original GM water pump lasted 225,000 miles (19 years). The pump was still had black paint and assembly marks on it. This Professional pump works just fine but the pump itself develops surface rust within a month which is nothing more than cosmetic issue since it’s not painted, but the lifespan out of this pump will probably be in the 70,000 mile range. I’d recommend this pump over NAPA/autozone/oreilly/advance parts store pumps anyday since this one is USA made and the others are Chinese.

Answer:	It fit my 1997 Chevy Suburban K1500 with the 5.7L Vortec engine.

Answer:	I used mine on my Gmc Safari with 4.3L. Since the 4.3 is a 5.7 with 2 cylinders cut off, I suspect that the pumps are identical. Be sure to loosen the fan attachment nut before removing the belt to make it easier.
