Answer:	To further expand on Wes' answer (which is excellent!), you can have up to eight (8) on the same bus, per the chip datasheets. The chips have a portion of the address hard-code (which cannot be changed) and the three remaining address lines (A0, A1, and A2) can be jumpered to ground to set seven (7) other addresses - the 8th being no jumpers. IF you happen to get one with an 8574 chip and another with 8574A or 8574T, then you could potentially have up to 16 modules on the same bus as the A and T versions use a different hard-coded address than the 8574.

Answer:	I2C library , I believe. Also use one of the free, available arduino programs to find exact hex address. I used google to get the info. . They work fine.

Answer:	There are several product options on the page, some have I2C, some don't. If you chose one that has I2C, it should come with an I2C backpack.

Answer:	It works on 3.3V, but just barely: it's unusably dim. I changed the supply voltage to 5V and was able to successfully drive it with 3.3V-level I2C signals, although the PCF8574 data sheet says that the minimum Vih level is 0.7 * Vcc = 3.5V. My scope says that the signals are rising to about 3.8V, so there must be some kind of pull-up to 5V on the I2C backpack board. I don't want to rely on that, so for my final design I'll use a PCA9306 I2C level shifter.

Answer:	In addition to what the other poster wrote, you can find the i2c address in Linux/Raspbian if you install i2c-tools (apt-get install i2c-tools) and then run i2cdetect -y 1

Answer:	Not that I am aware of. The address is settable with 3 solder bridges on the board, but not settable to 4E.
Question:	Must the car be driven for the Heater to run
Answer:	It works with 5volts. For Arduino the default address is 27, for other applications it is 4E for write, 4F for read.
Question:	Does the heater make loud noises when working
Answer:	(Amazon sent this question to me) I assume you have checked your wiring. When I first tried it I didn't see anything because the contrast was too high. There is a pot on the back to adjust it. The only other thing is the address of the I2C. I believe it is usually 27. Mine was.

How to Maintain?

1.After running for a period of time, the ignition plug should be unscrewed to clean the carbon deposit.

2. If there is too much carbon caused the heating efficiency reduced, the heat sink inside the water jacket and the carbon in the combustion chamber should be cleaned.

Answer:	I have never tried it but I believe that there are some commands that would allow you to put the screen into a low power state and back.
Question:	Will this work inside a small cab enclosure on my tractor
Answer:	I had the same issue, so I used male/female leads to connect the LCD to the Mega board to get access to the Mega pins.
Question:	Does it have to be plugged in or is it rechargeable
Answer:	For prototyping, I used two of the extension headers from a Mega 2560 shield kit to mount the display above the 2560 board so I could access the other pins. For production, I build additional circuitry and connectors onto the shield and then sandwiched that between the 2560 board and the display board. See attached photos on my product review.

Answer:	The mounting hole dimensions are about 23mm X 23mm. 23.2mm across the top and bottom and 23.40mm across the sides.
