| Answer: | I have a Wolf hood that the Broan 336 is hooked up to as a blower. It turns out, the Wolf Blower is exactly the same blower as the Broan 336. Same manufacturer, same physical envelope, same everything. The Wolf 1500 CFM blower has a different model number, but if you track down the installation manuals, you'll see they are identical in every aspect, except for the name and model number. The Wolf hood has a built-in rheostat to control the blower speed. Why I have a Wolf hood instead of the BEST model hood I wanted is a very long story, but the Best hood model I wanted, had been discontinued by the time I went to order it, despite having purchased the Broan 336 blower 9 months previously, because the builder needed the blower when they were doing the framing for the new house. |

| Answer: | The first thing you want to do is get the vent in your hands. Never precut anything until you actually measure the piece you intend to install. Having said that, the vent was a perfect fit for the hoods we install. The vent fits the template that comes in the manufactures box pre packaged with the stove hood. Then you will want to get a stud finder and an electronic detector and locate the what's inside the wall . Having done all that you are ready to cut out the hole. You will want to measure the piece in your hand and allow about a quarter of an inch extra opening to be able to get the hood and the vent connected. It is a 2 person job . |
