Answer:	Just under one tablespoon of Himalayan salt (1tbl-sp per gallon... this produces .8 gallon per batch; this salt is pink in color... raw form) will balance the water (alkalinity) and add back 80+ essential minerals. I surprised no one suggested that yet.

Answer:	Upper right side (boiling chamber side) gets hot to the touch. Treat it like a drive or oven with kids. Don’t touch. Bottom is tank so it does not get hit and will not affect counter top

Answer:	The reset button is to protect the product from being burnt out, and to protect it from overheating to prevent the machine from working after the water distillation is complete, which is very dangerous. If you want to stop during use, you can directly use the ON/OFF button.

Answer:	While the water is funneled through a glass insert, the outlet on the glass insert is shorter than the plastic outlet, so as the water drips from the glass insert, it contacts the plastic funnel outlet briefly. Also, on the inside of the distiller, the stainless steel tube the steam rises up through has a non-metallic gasket that some water may contact and drip back into the distiller tank.

Answer:	I used a watt meter, it cost between 35 cents to 50 cents for 5.5 hours per gallon, at the most expensive it will cost 50 cents at worst, if your electricity rate is very high. What I do is I pour boiling water into the pot first (because I have a gas stove), which saves 40 minutes from producing 1 gallon.
