They (the mirrors) are "made of glass" or they're "made of plastic", almost a 50/50 split among those that responded to yours and other similar questions. Wouldn't think it would be so difficult to get an accurate response. Looks like cheap quality whatever it is and very likely not glass. |

| Answer: | Yes, here's simple three step process for removing the mirrors; once removed, you cannot reattach unless you use a new piece of adhesive tape.1. Use a pair of scissors to cut a 12-inch-long piece of fishing line. Spray the outside edges of the mirror with water or ammonia window cleaner. Wrap the fishing line around each of your hands so that you have solid control over the line.2. Place the fishing line over the top of the mirror and gently wiggle it back and forth until the fishing line has made its way behind the mirror. Continue to wiggle the fishing line in a sawing motion down the mirror, adding more spray if necessary. Pull the fishing line downward until the mirror detaches.3. Spray a petroleum-based lubricant e.g. WD 40 directly onto the remaining sticky pad, or onto a soft cloth and then soak the residual adhesive pad. Using a soft cloth gently use small circular motions to eliminate the sticky residue left from the blind spot mirror. If the adhesive pad remains, use the petroleum-based lubricant and a plastic credit card to remove the remaining pad. |
