It has no catch for the sunrider feature of stock soft tops. So no sunrider. I returned these door surrounds after learning that. I tried to install them but with much difficulty. These things where manufactured very poorly and didn't even line up correctly. It's hard to talk about it without showing you but they are a terrible product. I tried to save some money and after all that hassle I am glad I bought Mopar replacement parts. I highly recommend them compared to aftermarket. You can save a bit of money by buying a set of door surround knobs from Drake Off Road instead of Mopar. Plus they look better.

Answer:	Sharpie is alcohol ink based, and most varnishes are alcohol based as well, so the varnish reactivates the ink. You can seal your sharpie art with Krylon's Kamar varnish first, they say this is the only varnish that won't activate alcohol based inks. Then spray your uv varnish after several coats of Kamar Varnish.

Answer:	I use this to spray/protect my acrylic painted rocks for my garden. It is not glossy. It leaves a very light sheen, but not glossy.

Answer:	Do not use this in glasses. I bought this product to use on a picture frame, the glass on which I wanted to be uv protected.It does not coat the surface in a uniform, smooth coat which would be required for optics. It actually ruined the glass on the picture frame, as well.

Answer:	Yes, with caveats. Yes if you are wanting to protect new or recently repaired headlights, ie you removed the oxidation from your lenses with one of the many refinishing kits that involves sanding through the damaged layers, but before you spray any other protective product on the lens that this clear paint can't adhere to. However keep in mind any imperfections and inconsistencies in your application of this product will change the light output pattern and intensity from your headlights, which may make them less usable at night.

Answer:	Permanent vinyl, such as 651 needs to breathe. If you seal it and cover the pores it will start to peel.

Answer:	It did not work for me. In areas where I had used neocolors, I could easily scratch that right off. In areas with ink, I could easily smudge with a tiny bit of moisture. It's fine over acrylics...but nothing special there either.

Answer:	If you want to "seal" a chalkboard that is written on or decorated with chalk or paint, yes this is perfect for preserving this type of project. However, if you spray on a blank chalkboard, you will not be able to use chalk on it. You could possibly use chalk markers over it, but not too sure how that might work out, especially if you want to wipe off and reuse, like a dry-erase type thing. Hope these suggestions help.

Answer:	Yes but don't use duplicolor. Call around local auto paint stores and get real auto paint put into aerosol cans. Transtar is a decent one who will do this and it's better quality. My personal opinion.

Answer:	Not sure about chrome. I would coat the chrome grill with adhesion spray first then plastidip. Apply this Spray Max in the end but make sure the adhesion and the plastidip to stick firmly first.

Answer:	Same as any other clear. Obviously depends on air temp/humidity etc. Also, the longer it dries, the harder it is, so hard to cut

Answer:	Yes it works well. I also do paintings (abstract) and used 2 part resin. The spray Max is just as good and durable. The draw back is, is once you puncture the internal can inside the main can, you only have about 48 hours to use. So you have to make sure you have a few paintings ready to go and coat them all at the same time. Also, purchase a respirator. Harbor freight has them for Les than $20. You get quite a few uses from them, then just throw away and purchase a new one. The vapors in the 2 part spray Max are not good to be inhaling. Outside is fine, but in a enclosed area is not good unless you wear a respirator.

Answer:	I would recommend using duplicolor # hwp103 for wheel clear because of high heat temperature

Answer:	If using over existing clear, you MUST wet SSN the existing clear with 800-1000 grit. These very fine scratches will be filled with the new clear coat - failure to sand will result in failure and eventual peeling of the clear coat - the new clear needs a surface to bite into.
Question:	can i use it my my plastic headlights, and if so, do i need an adhesion promotor
Answer:	I sanded with 1000 grit and the clear coat filled the lines in very well. I had previously used Meguires headlight clearcoat and sanded with 2500, but the lines were still visible after 2 coats - it also turned yellow and started to peel after 4 months. I sanded all the Meguires off prior to using the 2k to avoid any lifting problems. They looked great after 2 coats. Beware the overspray! I should have covered my whole car with a drop cloth.
Question:	What type of clearcoat is this? Acrylic/Enamel/Laquer
Answer:	Acrylic. Word of caution. Make sure that you apply a very light coat at first, followed by a second coat a little heavier, followed by an EVEN third wet coat. If you end up with a run DO NOT TRY TO FIX IT UNTIL THE CLEAR COAT IS COMPLETELY DRY!! Then use a new single edge razor blade to scrape any runs. If you have a speck of dust or a bug, gently remove then using a clean cotton swab, dab a drop of clear coat over the "hole" and let it merge into the void. Also, once you puncture the internal can, you only have about 2 hours before the product solidifies in the can.

Answer:	The price of these cans is somewhat volatile. It seems to be affordable if you buy direct from Amazon as an add on item, but can be over $15 from third parties. There is only one can in the order.

Answer:	It can be sprayed on anything. Multiple coats will build thickness. The solvents will attack some rubber or some plastics. After it dries, continuous flexing would crack a coating.

Answer:	it will work on stainless steel. if you are using clear coat, the surface needs to be rough in order for it to stick. if you are using the lacquer paint, it will stick to stainless fairly well. it has to be dry and clean at start and dont get it wet for at least 24 hours.

Answer:	Hello, I don't know what your picture is made of. Is it a print on paper, a painting, or something else?Rustoleum spray lacquer is not compatible with acrylic, so could ruin your art if there is an acrylic finish already on it. I recommend you get a spray can of Krylon Crystal Clear spray ACRYLIC (not lacquer) in gloss, satin, matte, or what ever finish you want. This is compatible with many different types of paints and finishes. Test it first, if you can. I don't recommend either finish for valuable art. Michael's also has various spray finishes (more expensive) made for coating prints and paintings, like picture varnish or something similar. (I usually use Rustoleum spray lacquer only on ceramics and metal.) Good luck!!!

Answer:	I wouldn't recommend it to cover smoke smell.

Answer:	I have a son that was a skateboarder, I don't think I'd rely on this to protect the underside of a skateboard in use. It would be fine for a light coverage, but for a board, you'd need a poly or something thicker and stronger. This stuff is great for display items, I used it on Christmas ornaments I hand painted. Paint held up fine but it wasn't being battered. I suggest a thick polyurethane if your goal is to keep the underside of a board the same.
Question:	how many cans do you think are required to apply 2 thin coats to a primed and painted 25 ft. flag pole
Answer:	There's really no way to figure this accurately. If I was doing it I'd start with 5 cans and expect to need more. A good solution would be to order one can, see how far it goes, then order what you think you'll need to finish the job.
Question:	People are saying in answers that it is white, yet the illutration is a beige or light tan. Which is it? Thank you

The Auto Paint Depot Clear is a 1K is a high performance clear coat that gives 2K performance with the convenience of a single pack. Compatible with most paint systems including water based, this clear is ideal for spot repairs and complete resprays.

Question:	Can I use this for minor carbon fiber (non structural damage) chips
Answer:	This is an automotive acrylic lacquer paint. Please check with the manufacturer of the item you are repairing to see if it is compatible.
Question:	Can I use this to cover small spots where clear coat is peeling without any buffing for shine
Answer:	Yes you can.
Question:	How long does this take to dry
Answer:	Dry to touch in a couple of hours for just a small spot, not too thick.
Question:	How long do does the unused portion of the product last after opening the jar
Answer:	Your clear should last a year or 2 if proper storage is followed. This is a solvent based product which has evaporative properties. As such it depends on proper storage. Be sure tat the jar lip and threads are clean to the glass and the lid makes a proper seal. Store out of direct sunlight in a cool (not freezing) dry place.

Question:	How many can would I need to seal a paint job on a 99 4runner
Answer:	At least 12
Question:	Would this spray work over bedliner
Answer:	It would but you would need a few cans and only if plastic bedliner i wouldn't recommend. I'm sure you could find the right type for it . Other wise I'd spay with gun in booth
Question:	Is this enough clear coat to coat a pickup truck hood
Answer:	You can get one coat not sure about 2 since there is no mention of the size of pickup truck. You will also need to consider if you are painting indoors or outdoors. If you paint outdoors and there is any kind of wind you may not have enough to do one coat since most of the spray will be gone with the wind. Hope this helps.
Question:	Is it arcrilic enamil
Answer:	It has a harder that you activate on the bottom before you spray . Then you have 48 hrs to use after that its no good .
