Bottom line- One gallon jug alone will not be enough and you don’t want to be short fluid. |

| Answer: | I did drain and refill on my 2011 Nissan Rogue (base model FWD) at 35000 miles. It took 5 quarts to put level at the bottom of hatch mark when hot. You will need 1/4 - 1/3 quart more to bring level a little bit up. Fluid came out very dark, almost black after 35000 miles mostly city driving. I think that 30000 should be the recommended interval (for severe driving) to keep cvt transmission in good shape. |

| Answer: | I did not use Nissan NS-2 because of the price/qt, but tried Eneos. I have since found some information that may be of interest to those with Nissan and Honda cars and concerns about fluid formulations... I used the Eneos 3084300 (synthetic blend) as a substitute for Nissan NS-2 without any noticeable issue (4 months). Now there is a newer formulation, 3106300 as a direct replacement. A news release from Eneos in 2016 announced a new line of CVT fluids where "genuine fluids are specified" (i.e. Nissan NS-2). They state on their web site, "ENEOS Import CVT Fluid is Continuously Variable Transmission fluid engineered for specific Asian vehicles, including Honda, Acura, and Nissan, that require “genuine” fluid from the manufacturer." And, "ENEOS Import CVT | MODEL N is automatic transmission fluid engineered specifically for Nissan vehicles that require Nissan CVTF Type NS-2 Genuine Fluid." It sounds like Eneos 3106300 Import CVT fluid is a formula specifically made for the make/model. Eneos has multiple part numbers for CVT fluid 3106300, 3084300, 3057300, or 3026300. I don't fully understand the application or specs other than stating synthetic blend or full synthetic for NS-2. For your information. Mathematically: 5/12. 5 quart replaced 5/12 x 7 = 3 quart replaced I am unaware of the total fill for the CVT 8,9,10,11, or 12 quart I have not made a make-shift measurement tool as was provided in years past You can do so, measuring the existing level and marking that level as desired fill on your ‘stick’ |
