User questions & answers
Question: | My head is 22 inches around. What size do I need |
Answer: | A size medium will work |
Question: | Is there much vibration of the shield at high speeds |
Answer: | This question has already been answered by others but I'll give my opinion to hopefully assist. I have 19k miles/1yr under the LS2 OF569. Vibration will vary depending on your particular motorcycle. I have a Road Glide with a 12 in Klockworks windshield. Vibration is minimal behind the windshield but very noticeable above it. Riding a Honda ST 1100 with stock windshield I have moderate vibration and noise due to being above the windshield. I can not speak for riding without a windshield. |
Question: | Does have the space for the speakers by the ears for a Bluetooth set |
Answer: | Yes it does. The headliner is snap in for the ear pc's. And snap and clip sort of thing for the head. There is a approx. 2"x1/2" cup behind the ear pads and there are already speaker holes in the ear pc's. |
Question: | Is this a DOT approved helmet? not just the quick release |
Answer: | Certainly and ECE |

User questions & answers
Question: | what size should I get |
Answer: | Depends on your head shape, but based on the circumference you provided, I would go medium. Sure, it might be a bit tight at first, but that is what you need. You will wear it in shortly. If you really can't stand it, and it hurts in spots, you can change the cheek pads for about $20 to a larger size. So why not buy the larger size from the get go? Because it might loosen up with use, and that is not what you want. Defeats the purpose of the helmet. I hope this helps. BTW, it's a great helmet! Good luck. |
Question: | Return policy |
Answer: | N/A |

The LS2 MX470 Subverter full motocross helmet is a game changer in the world of high-performance MX helmets. LS2 uses their proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) for the shell. It’s lightweight, offers just a little flex as part of the energy management system, and is ultra strong. LS2 uses 3 shell sizes for the Subverter to assure that you get the smallest, lightest shell possible for your specific size. In fact, this is one of the smallest shells in the business. But things get even better. The internal, energy absorbing EPS uses in-molding technology, attaching an internal, polycarbonate protective layer between the dual-density EPS and the comfort padding. It allows the comfort liner just a bit of slippage to help offset and diminish rotational energy and dramatically improve the dissipation of energy absorbed by the EPS. We call it the Synthetic Slip System. The shell is 35 separate ventilation ports, with channeled EPS to allow the maximum possible airflow, keeping the rider cooler in the heat of competition. The comfort padding uses LS2’s thermo-weld system, reducing the need for glues. It allows the fabric to be more breathable and comfortable. The liner is removable and washable. The eye port is wide, allowing for a full field of vision, and accommodates virtually any brand of goggles. We use a metal security plate triangle to reinforce the chinstrap rivet. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard

User questions & answers
Question: | How can I be sure of the sizing. So I can be sure it fits my head correctly |
Answer: | Head to a cycle store and try on the brand. Every brand, just like in shoes fits a little different and depending on how you ride, you may want it glove like or a bit looser. I wear a medium in LS2(dirt helmet-little more loose)and a small in shoei(street helmet-more snug). They're similar in sizing but have a different fit. Ones DOT and I prefer when I'm going on the highway to not have a semi's wind blow my helmet off my head to be ON MY HEAD, but the dirt helmet is nice to have a smidge of play so I can move my drink straw back and forth, scratch parts of my face and get my goggles just right. I'd go try on the brand and see how you like it, then see what's cheaper: amazon or the store you're currently in, trying on helmets |
Question: | How is the wind noise |
Answer: | I just started riding (i.e., Enduro) again after 40 years. I purchased this helmet last year and can say it was well worth the price. I fit's snug and works well for both street and trail. The helmet has an air vent (i.e., on, off) for the summer which works really well. I have not experienced any air noises. I applied for the Amazon credit card and the price was reduced significantly. I wear glasses too and the helmet fits fine. I am 6' and bought an extra large. The helmet fits snug, like it should. I have had two drops (i.e., trail) so far, excellent protection. |
