Answer:	I mounted it on a board which remains outside next to the water hookup. I have immediate, continuous hot water which is excellent for cooler/colder temps. I use the trailer hot water heater for shorter trips or warmer weather trips.

Question:	Are these saltwater proof or will they rust as they get submerged everytime the trailer is in the saltwater
Answer:	I as m nll pretty sure they are not as parts of it rusted in lake water. The retraction springs in both I had rusted and broke. One they replaced and it broke. I do not recomend this brand.

Answer:	Only a place to bolt to trailer, swings out of the way for loading.

Answer:	They attach with a bolt,washer,and lock nut that is included... super easy and quick to install and the look and ease of use afterwards is really good... i highly recommend and would put them on every boat trailer i own from now on!!!!!!! Even thinking about adding them somehow on my utility trailer to lock down mowers and side by side

Answer:	Under the description the ratchet is rated at over 8000lbs and over 2000lb strap breakage.

Answer:	Yes to both questions mine are mounted at a 45 degree angle with no problem..your main thing to watch out for. Is your mounting point needs to be flush or even stick out past the transom..you dont want the strap to come out from under the boat and rub on the bottom edge of the boat.

Answer:	The package clearly states make in China... I wish I new this sooner.
Question:	What is the retracted length
Answer:	It's states right here next to the picture that they are 2x43"!! Retracted they measure about 3 to 4 inches!! My biggest problem with them is that the spring that retracts them doesn't last long, about several weeks depending on how times you immerse them in water. I am on my third set!!! I only know this because the first set, I took apart, and the spring was rusted. The second set lasted a little longer because I sprayed silicone spray in the spring compartment. Make sure you oil these frequently!!! Good luck and hope this helps!!!
