Question:	Can this be used on toyota fj cruiser
Answer:	Bought this for my FJ cruiser. It fit and seemed to be securely on it. But the whole thing popped off the car while on the road, even with an additional lock on it. (It also covers the reverse sensor so the FJ alarm will trigger whenever backing up.) If you end up buying this, look at the flimsy clips that are suppose to hold onto the bottom of the back door. Even with the door closed, the FJ's doorframe will not help keep those little clips in place.

Answer:	It all depends on how handy you are. It took me about 30 minutes to measure where I wanted the rack to be secured and to install the rack. I’m sure some people would take less time and some would take more. Basically just take your time and you’ll be fine.

Answer:	I don’t think the tire size matters. It connects to the Jeep using a bolt thru center of the spare. We had to purchase our own bolt as the two sizes of connectors provided would not pull the rubber braces onto our tire. Now that it’s all hooked up I’m surprised by its durability. Bikes don’t wiggle about like on our hitch bike rack.

Question:	Will this clear the spare tire on a Jeep Wrangler
Answer:	This rack has a 1/2" hole for the pin. Lots of hitches have 5/8" holes/pins. You can use the "no-wobble" pin that they include (which is partly 1/2" and partly 5/8"), but then you need tools to put on/take off which is annoying. If you want to use an after-market key-locking trailer pin, you will likely have to drill out this bike rack's pin hole to 5/8" first. Not a great design choice in my opinion.
Question:	Can you use 5/8 hitch lock pin
Answer:	The brackets that the straps are attached to rotate around the rack arms, making it fairly easy once you figure out the best position. I actually had 3 women's bikes on the rack with no problems. The straps were on the diagonal bar and the vertical bar below the seat and it was very tight, no movement at all. No issues with women's bikes at all here.
Question:	Is there a locking mechanism to prevent theft of the actual hitch / rack when not using the rack? A special key to keep it on your hitch
Answer:	If you are talking about leaving the bikes, we purchased the doberman lock and secured the bikes and lock to the straight pole on back, we have two to interweave between the bike wheels and the pole. We also brought a locking pin for the hitch. Never had a problem, we have left them on there while down the shore, on bike trails while we walk or go to get something to eat.

Answer:	On the current version (2016 and newer) hitch racks, the carry arms are 11.5" apart on center. This translates to an outside dimension of approximately 13"

Answer:	I don’t have a motion sensor, but I do have 35s (315 70R17) and this lifts the spare about 2” off of the bumper. It adds very little in terms of thickness keeping the spare pretty tight to the tailgate as well.

Answer:	It gives more than enough clearance for that size tire. That’s what I’m running. The wheel should be fine as well since it’s behind the carrier and doesn’t change how it mounts to the jeep.

Answer:	Yes they do rotate. I usually position the ones I don't need down when trying to load the bikes. For what it's worth, the rack has worked great so far. In particular the swing down feature of the bar giving access to the trunk is key. I only have 2 comments / small critiques. One, the cradles you use frequently become loose rather quickly so they don't stay in the up position. I have to rest the bike on the bar and adjust the cradles each time. Small thing. Second, once the cradles become loose the whole bike shifts a lot with the wind. You'll probably want to secure them with bungie cords especially for longer drives.

Answer:	I don't remember the exact weight limit for them, but we have two in our garage. One holds two kids bikes and one holds two adult bikes with no problem. One thing I would recommend is using a heavier duty screw that is a little longer than the ones that come with the rack.
