Answer:	To my knowledge there are no ordinary devices that turn themselves on or off with the car, as that would require them reading voltage from the outlet in your car. It all depends on your vehicle; if it has a DC outlet connected directly to the battery all the time and never turns off (may have a picture of a battery on the outlet cover) or if the outlet itself turns on and off with the car's ignition switch (may have an image of a key on the outlet cover). It's based on the car, so this will happen to any device you plug in to those outlets.

Answer:	It should work just fine in a semi. It may not fit the seat exactly, but the wrap around straps will hold it in place. I use mine for my passenger side in a 2008 Chevy pickup just fine.

Answer:	Lumbar support is very good, but... This seat cushion is "light duty" and would probably not last long with contractor/frequent use. It is not well suited to frequent entry/exit; it is better suited to long drives with few stops. Also need to be sure that 12V outlet shuts off when car is turned off or battery will run down.
