Answer:	I'm sure it would work as long as the sliding door doesn't have too much "wiggle" to it. The magnetic lock mechanism needs to be almost flush with the magnet. I installed this on a swivel door, but had to make sure the magnetic lock was almost flush with magnet or else it wouldn't engage and hold when activated. Hope this helps.
