User questions & answers

Question: how many boxes wil i need for a 1957 ford fairlane 500. I want to do complete floor and trunk as well as headliner doors and inside finder in trunk ar
Answer: Number of sheets in the stack 9Sheet Size 29x20 inchTotal coverage area of 36 sq.feetPack 36 sqft has two times more sheets in size than a pack of 18 sqft
Question: I have a carrier comfort apu 2 cylinder kubota diesel generator mounted to the side of my big rig approximately 95 decimals how much reduction
Answer: If you look to eliminate the road, engine noise and metal vibrations then Noico 80 mil material is the way to go. You are to install Noico 80 mil to such key areas, as floorboards, doors, firewall, roof, trunk + trunk lid, rear deck. We recommend to carefully prepare the metal surface before installation of deadener to it. That would include thoroughly cleaning, drying and degreasing the metal surface before installing the sound deadening to it. You are also to firmly roll down the sound deadening mats to the metal surface with aid of roller. *Ambient temperature upon installation should be not less than 60 degrees F. If a temperature is lower than 60 degrees F then you are to preheat both, metal surface and even deadening pads up to 60 degrees F. That will largely enhance an adhesion and overall effect.
Question: Is this enough for 1980 camaro floor? if i isolating the whole car (t tops) how many of that do i need
Answer: Insulating the wheel wells, floorboards, firewall and doors would certainly decrease the high pitch noise but it won't totally cancel that. It appears that the source is tyres themselves. Sound deadening works more towards low frequency resonance elimination. Please note that all of our sound deadening materials are to be installed from the interior side only.
Question: CHEN: Does this package come with enough to do my whole car? 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe ?How much package
Answer: Unfortunately Noico 80 mil wont work in this case because the noise is caused by the fan movement and it is actually a flow of air that you get to hear and it can't be remedied with this material.

Answer: Not only that it has SSD mounts but it is really easy to use them. They slide in and out of the case and can be locked into place. You simply slide the mount out of the case, install the SSD, then slide the mount back in and lock it. This is a really nice case.

Question: Will this product help with the high pitched noise from tires on the highway

Question: I have a portable air conditioner that is really loud. If i wrap the unit with this will it quiet down
Answer: It should, especially if you do not mount a side fan. The case has a particularly wide clearance because its side panels flare out. It probably has more clearance than most.I installed a Hyper 212 EVO in one.

Dynamat 10435 12" x 36" x 0.067" Thick Self-Adhesive Sound Deadener with Xtreme Door Kit

Dynamat

Based on 475 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Stop fighting engine rumble, speaker rattle, road noise and buzzing vehicle parts! Apply Dynamat Xtreme to your vehicles resonant surfaces and enjoy improved clarity, loudness and bass response from your car stereo. High-performance Dynamat Xtreme is lighter than Dynamat Original, four times more effective, requires no heat to apply and is recommended for vehicle tops, sides and contoured areas. Dynamat Xtreme is coated with aluminum for high temperature areas such as firewalls and floors. Why does your car stereo sound louder when you pull off the freeway and come to a stop? Road noise steals much of the listenable portion of your music. At 70 mph, a typical automotive noise level of 85 dB leaves you with only 20 dB of listenable music. Applying Dynamat creates a "sonic barrier" restoring 3, 6, even 12 dB of lost dynamic range. Gaining just 3 dB doubles your effective amplifier power. And that means you hear more music. Kit contains four 12" x 36" (305mm x 914mm) pieces of Dynamat Xtreme and includes enough material for two standard size doors.

User questions & answers

Question: Will it stick to wood surface and metal surface
Answer: It's 36 square feet. 36 - '1 foot by 1 foot' sections. Measure it. It depends on how well your going to cover everything. I covered every square inch of my vehicle including wheel wells, under carpet, rear hatch, 2 layers on the doors, and my hood and used 3 bulk kits. Didn't get to do my headliner and that would probably be 1/2 kit or a little more. You could also get away with just covering large open areas and use less. If I were you get 3 or 4 and you can do your fenders and hood too.
Question: Hi, Is this the original silver version or the new black
Answer: Normal Dynamat Xtreme will help reduce resonance of the metal. However, it will not really stop the low frequency pulses that the Kubota will generate. If you want to try blocking this type of noise, you are better off using the the Dynapad product and line all the floors and walls of your cab. The Dynapad does not have self-adhesive side, so you will have to use some kind of glue or adhesive to apply it to the vertical walls. However, this is likely the best you can do inside a vehicle. It's 3/8" thick and pretty heavy weight. If you don't want to do this, you can try the 1/2" Dynaliner, which does have an adhesive sticker backing and it's lighter, but will not block as much low frequency pulses.
Question: can you use this on your exhaust muffler
Answer: I used 2 boxes to do the whole floor , all 4 doors and the back of the cab in an Ford. F 350 truck
Question: I have a Gas Club Car Carryall (Golf Cart)....My question: Would this Thermo-Tec be of much use to dampen/deaden the engine sound from my golf cart? I am considering placing some under the bed of the rear of the golf cart, under the front seats, and even possibly the floor board of the golf cart. Would this work good
Answer: I also have a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and it was enough to cover all four doors, the tailgate and a few extra small places...you definitely would need 2-3 boxes to cover everything...But also keep in mind, you only need roughly 25% surface area coverage to be effective. No need to over do it! (2 boxes would probably be enough)You can check out sounddeadenershowdown dot com for a better explanation!

User questions & answers

Question: what is the temperature rating on this? Want to put in the engine room of my boat to deaden engine noise at the helm
Answer: Dynaliner is for the inside cabin for under the carpet, behind the door panels, and behind the headliner. It's intention is more of a temperature isolation barrier and some higher frequencies deadening. You would have great results using the Dynamat pressed into the interior body of the engine compartment. I've used that on four cars and a van- you won't be disappointed. *If you get a bulk pack of the Dynamat, get the 1-2 inch wooden application roller too, and apply it in 65-85 degree temps for best results.
Question: What color is this? Silver or black
Answer: Mine was black
Question: I have a JL 10w6 facing the lift gate of my Tahoe behind the 3rd row. Will this help with vehicle rattle and license plate rattle if I cover the door
Answer: This product is to be used on top of the Dynamat so if you just use dynaliner. I don't think it will work as well.
Question: I have a drone in my car would this help dampen the sound
Answer: If the droning is coming from your exhaust, you're better off putting a mid muffler to get rid of the droning. I used it for the under hood to save the new paint job. It does a great job keeping the hood cool. As for noise, I only noticed a little reduction in decibels. Good luck.

Answer: Kilmat 50 mil material is self adhesive, there is no need for additional adhesive to be applied to install it to the roof of a car, It's important to clean, dry and degrease a metal surface prior to installation of Kilmat 50 mil to it. Make sure to thoroughly press it down to the metal surface with a roller until the special embossment on the foil is plain and smooth.
Question: What is R valuer
Answer: i'm no expert. I would venture to say between 5 and 8 R value
Question: What's the R value
Answer: Yeah almost nothing. Found out the hard way. I saw peoole saying it's used for thermal insulation also. Did most of my van with other stuff there rely good but decided to giveth the last 20 percent worth this. And when I step on it like steering in the metal. No difference.
Question: For application to underside of car hood, should I also use a spray adhesive
Answer: There should not be a problem adhering Kilmat 50 mil to the underside of the hood without using additional spray adhesive, thus we do not recommend any additional spray adhesives. Make sure to clean and degrease the surface prior to installation.

Question: Does this product contain Asphalt
Answer: We recommend covering the entire floor for it to be the most effective and double layer on the wheel wells.
Question: Will it stick to plastic of a UTV
Answer: Yes, you can install a headliner on top of Noico 80 mil 10 sqft material.
Question: Does this come with the tool to roll on
Answer: No smell or odor other than the initial opening of the package, I did however allow a day for it to dissipate before installing (has been installed for 30+ days in FL sun). Use caution when installing as mix will come out the edges & stick to roller. Use metal tape to seal edges.
Question: How come what i just ordered was nothing like it was before i ordered 2 packs but this stuff is definitly not 80mil and there was no where near 36sqft
Answer: Yes it should stick just fine as long as you make sure it's clean and free of debris. I'd guess 2 packs would be pretty close for 1 door (20 sq ft total)

Question: Notice any smell or odor
Answer: Mine (the 101 model) did *NOT* come with any screws. Fortunately I have a box of loose screws at work...
Question: Can i use this on a wooden door at home? How many do i need
Answer: I am not using Cooler Master, but corsair H110 (also 280mm cooler). It fits on the top, except one problem: Water pipe clearance is small and I decided to move DVD drive to external one. If you do not mind bending the water pipe, it fits, but I am not so happy about the fact that water pipe touches the dvd drive.

User questions & answers

Question: For the seller: Would this work in my transmission tunnel (old matting has fallen off)? If you do not know, please don't answer
Answer: I did not stick mine directly to the wall. I used and adhesive from Lowes called "Power Grab" and stuck mine to a sandwich of two acoustic insulation boards with sound blocking vinyl in between. (Many thanks to the company that showed their product in a cut away view) then I glued the BXI panels to that. My panels are 1 foot by 4 feet and are arranged in two colors green on top and white on the bottom. Good luck on your project!
Question: Are there chemical additives to the Polyethylene to make it flame retardant? If so, what are they
Answer: They do not work to block traffic noise on windows. I purchased this product, did not change the noise level at the window next to my desk.
Question: How long? How wide
Answer: Not unless you covered the entire wall with them
Question: so just to confirm. I can use this for the hood of my car

Noico Metal Barrel Roller Installation Tool for Automotive Sound Deadening Insulation Materials for Cars & Truck (Audio Dampening & Deadener Installation)

Based on 1 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Everyone who is going to sound deaden ones car has to know how to lay the material to the car surface and avoid gaps or air bubbles. It worths mentioning that incorrect application of the material may result in corrosion of the metal. Practice shows that it’s fairly hard to flatten the material with hands especially in hard to reach remote locations. Noico roller can make installation process easy and effective.

Why it is important to use the roller that is specifically made of metal?

Many people complain that wooden or silicone roller are not really effective as they can be easily brake and are not handy to use. This type of rollers slide instead of rolling and do not fulfill their primary function.

1)The heavier the roller the easier for you to to roll out the foil. It is obvious that metal is a heavy material in comparison to wood or silicone

2)It’s also important for a roller to have corrugated surface. This will prevent it from sliding. Moreover, the roller’s corrugated surface will provide you with a years of prolonged service.

3) You need to apply efforts to properly roll out the material. Roller has to be rigid to prevent it from breaking. Metal roller can guarantee a quality insulation and long service for many years to come.

Be sure to use metal roller if you are after competent insulation no matter what material you use.

  • Noico Roller is an essential tool for installation of car sound deadening. Dimensions of roller's wheel: width 1.2 inch = 30 mm, diameter 1.25 inch= 33 mm, handle length 5 inch = 125 mm. The roller's handle is made of wood, the rolling wheel is made of metal. The roller is a must have tool if you want to effectively install your sound deadening without getting back and correcting the spots that you might have missed. The weight of the roller is 0.7 lbs.
  • Noico Roller has a spinning wheel that is made of metal (a part of the roller that actually rolls the material and makes that stick to the surface). Comparing to plastic, wooden and polyurethane rollers, the metal spinning wheel works much more effectively.
  • The Noico Roller has a corrugated profile that contributes to better handling and prevents the barrel from slipping. The roller easily moves across the surface and presses the sound deadening material to the surface of your car.
  • Noico Roller has a short anatomical handle which makes it effortless in terms of operating. Also, the small size of the roller handle allows to reach even the most remote areas of the car.
  • Noico Roller is a specialized tool that will largely help to correctly install the soundproofing materials . Noico Roller is the best choice for those who love their vehicle and don’t want to waste their time!

User questions & answers

Question: This is grooved, but videos say it should be flatten out? Which one is correct
Answer: I used the tape on additional insulation, unable to give you a positive yes.
Question: The picture has a nice wood handle but there are several reviews saying the “plastic” handle broke. So does it have a wood handle or not
Answer: Silver
Question: Why is butyl necessary to roll? is it only for sticking purpose
Answer: DynaTape (Dynamat Part# 13100) is black. You can confirm at the corporate website.
Question: What type of metal is it
Answer: I don't see why not. As long as you tacking it to a clean dry non-porous surfaces. Shouldn't be but a thing. Not sure why this tape and not some Duck or Gorrila tape instead. But I'm sure you have your reasons. Go for it. Nothin but a chicken wing in that case. Mark Reeves and the Tech Truth.
