Question:	Is this b&w 5th wheel hitch better than the reese goosebox gen2? i own a duramax with a 6.5ft standard bed
Answer:	No. Get the under bed gooseneck hitch / turn over ball specific to your truck. Not really hard to install it by yourself, does take a few hours or it did me. The companion / 5th wheel hitch slides into the hole in bed where the gooseneck ball would go. Release pin thru it and tighten the locking bolt to 60 ft lbs. Takes longer to lift it outta the bed of the trk than to get it ready to remove. Top plate comes off stand, then lift stand out. The stand is much heavier than the top plate but nothing one man can’t handle. Wouldn’t want to carry it very far but from the trk bed to the shop where I store it when not in use is no big deal. I have a plastic bed liner and had to cut strips in it for the frame feet strips to set in the bed corrugations. U don’t have to do that with spray in liner or no liner. I’m very happy with the easy and fast swap from a flat truck bed to gooseneck hitch or 5th wheel hitch & vice versa.

Answer:	Your latch will drop back into place and you tighten the bolt, after you tighten the bolt double check you pull for the goose neck, it won't release because of the pressure put on it from tightening the bolt. After I pulled my fifth wheel couple times I double checked the bolt. good to go.

Question:	So I pull the pin and remove the ball and this hitch just drops in and just tighten bolts and good to go
Answer:	Not sure where you got 52 pounds. That might be for just the head. Hitch is two pieces Base is heavy and I guess about eighty pounds for base. Two pieces together is well over 100 pounds. I always take my hitch out of truck when returning from trip and I use a rope hoist (7 to 1 ) ratio. Being 77 years old weight is too much to easily lift.

Answer:	Listing clearly states "for 2016-2019 GM puck system", so no it is not for a Ram truck.

Answer:	Yes they do make a slider with a puck system. I have a 2019 Chevrolet 3500 I opted out of the slider because I never used the one I had in my 2016 and I have no regrets about doing so.
Question:	I have a 2019 gmc sierra 2500 hd denali diesel. what is the advantage of the slider version 3770 instead of the 3700? not sure i understand the slide
Answer:	When maneuvering in a tight spot or have to jackknife the RV, you can release the slide and it lets the saddle slide back a few inches. This is to keep the corner of your RV from knocking out the back window of your truck. I have the same truck except in the Silverado brand. My RV corners are rounded so it’s never been a problem. I had a slider on my 2011 HD and never once used it.

Answer:	My answer is the same as the other folks. It comes with pins to hook it to the bed mounted rails which are purchased separately to fit your bed and style of attachment to that bed. Some bolt to the bed and others use factory mounted puck systems. It depends upon your individual truck and preference.

Answer:	My truck had a Reese fifth wheel rated at 15,000. I unpinned and placed my 24,000 Curt right in the existing rails. No modifications.

Answer:	I don't believe I ever answered any questions about these rails. However, I bought them in 2015 along with the mounting kit for the frame as well as the hitch I don't remember. It's always best to call the manufacturer.

Answer:	I have been using this hitch for 3 years with a 2015 Shortbed Ram, have always had enough clearance to back my 5th wheel into any campsite we have been too. IN 3 years we have been to more than 20 different campsites. I also have a truexdo trucksport tonneau cover on my bed with no clearance issues

Answer:	If you go to the Anderson Manufacturer sight, they show you how. For me, it works great and is easy to do. It works great for my 35ft. 5th wheel. It is great if you use your gooseneck hook up for other trailers (which I do) and do not want the standard large 5th wheel hitch in the back of your truck. This whole setup is awesome, lightweight with easy install and easy removal for dailyu full use of the bed of your truck.

How to select a 5th wheel hitch: What size is the truck bed?

Your truck bed length will determine the type of mounting platform you’ll need for your 5th wheel hitch: legs or a roller. 5th wheel legs are the standard option for mounting a 5th wheel hitch, but they will only fit in a long-bed truck. For short-bed trucks, extra clearance may be needed when making tight turns. A 5th wheel roller will allow the hitch to roll backward, providing enough clearance between the trailer overhang and the truck cab.

Does the truck have an OEM puck system?

If you own a truck from Chevrolet, Ford, GMC, Nissan or Ram, your truck bed may be equipped with a puck system (pictured). If your truck has a long bed with the puck system, select a CURT 5th wheel hitch with the appropriate OEM puck system legs. If your truck has a short bed with the puck system, select a CURT 5th wheel hitch with the appropriate OEM puck system roller or roller adapter.

Do you prefer permanent base rails?

If your truck does not have the OEM puck system, you will need to install 5th wheel rails. The traditional method for installing base rails is to use vehicle-specific under-bed brackets. First, select the custom under-bed brackets that fit your specific make and model, as well as a set of industry-standard base rails. Next, if you have a long-bed truck, select a 5th wheel hitch with legs. If you have a short-bed truck, select a 5th wheel hitch with a roller. Remember to always abide by the weight capacity of the lowest-rated towing component.

Answer:	They do not seem to line up well. The supplied Furion don't in your trailer is, as you know by now, just a plastic box that is a placeholder for the much more expensive Furion camera. I took a rotary too to mine and modified it to fit. Also clipped off the Furion micro plug and used water-tite crimp connectors to wire directly to the Rohent camera. Works fine that way.
