5 best raptor bed liners

Raptor bed liners are a popular choice among truck owners when it comes to protecting the bed of their vehicles. These bed liners are part of the broader category of automotive accessories designed to safeguard truck beds and tailgates. Here's what you should know about Raptor bed liners:

  1. Material and Durability: Raptor bed liners are typically made from a tough, durable material, such as polyurethane or polyurea. This material is known for its resistance to abrasion, chemicals, and UV rays, making it well-suited to withstand the harsh conditions a truck bed can face.

  2. Spray-On Application: One of the key features of Raptor bed liners is their spray-on application method. Unlike traditional drop-in bed liners, which are pre-shaped and installed, Raptor bed liners are applied as a liquid coating. This allows for a custom fit, ensuring that every contour of the truck bed is protected.

  3. Protection: Raptor bed liners provide excellent protection for the truck bed against scratches, dings, and impacts. They are also designed to resist rust and corrosion, which can be common issues for truck beds exposed to moisture and cargo.

  4. Texture and Grip: The textured surface of Raptor bed liners not only adds to their durability but also provides a non-slip grip. This feature can help prevent cargo from sliding around during transport.

  5. Customization: Raptor bed liners come in various colors and finishes, allowing truck owners to choose a look that complements their vehicle. Some people prefer a more rugged, textured appearance, while others may opt for a smoother finish.

  6. Easy Maintenance: Maintaining a Raptor bed liner is relatively straightforward. They can be easily cleaned with water and mild detergent, and their durable nature means they can withstand regular use without showing significant wear.

  7. Professional Installation: While some DIY kits are available for those who want to apply Raptor bed liners themselves, many truck owners opt for professional installation to ensure a flawless and even coating.

  8. Tailgate Accessories: In addition to bed liners, Raptor may offer tailgate accessories that complement their bed liner systems, such as tailgate protectors and sealants.

Overall, Raptor bed liners are a popular choice for truck owners looking to protect their investment and maintain the functionality and appearance of their truck beds. Their custom-fit, spray-on application, durability, and texture make them a versatile option for those seeking long-lasting bed protection.

User questions & answers

Question: How hard of a shell does this form? I'm thinking of using to coat the bottom of my kayak and wondering if it will hold up against hitting rocks
Answer: I don't think so. I did a 5'x8' trailer bed, no sides or tailgate, and I used every drop of the 1 gallon can I bought.
Question: Will this be enough to paint a metal bumper ? Already have it etched
Answer: yes you can. I just redid the bed of my truck. used Lacquer thinner to prep it, then did 2 new coats on the bed walls and did 2 new coats on the bed. I use this stuff for everything and have found that if you paint over (Rattle cans) it as it tacks up, you get a nice glossy finish that lasts. The UV on the Herculiner isn't that good, But if you paint over it as it tacks it gives it the UV protection it is lacking. Did my sons off-road bumper, rock rails, and the entire interior floor 3 years ago still looks great.
Question: How many cans would I need to cover a mini van? Body, undercarriage, hubcaps, and floor inside
Answer: Two different mediums and two different application processes. Line-X is a professional / dealer applied finish... whereas Herculiner is a DIY product. I'm a firm believer that Herculiner is one of, if not, THE best DIY liner products out on the market. Better than Line-X? Maybe not. Best bang for the buck? Yes. Follow the directions and be critical of the prep process. Herculiner will serve you very well and turns out great.
Question: Is 4L enough to do the inside cab of a full size bronco and large off road front bumper
Answer: One gallon will easily put two heavy (rolled on) coats on a six foot pickup bed!

User questions & answers

Question: Can you use this on plastic? Also is the reducer
Answer: Yes, you can use it on plastic. I think it would be good for the fenders of a 4-wheeler or something like that. I did the plastic parts of my bumpers and the inserts on my grill and it looks great. The reducer is not 50/50, maybe 25% reducer, but it is pretty forgiving. I sprayed 8 liters and had about half a can left over and I think I was supposed to have used it all.
Question: If you spray plastic like plastic bumpers will this product stick to it? Is there anything need do different for plastic besides the basic prep
Answer: We actually sprayed all the plastic bumpers on an Xterra as well as the entire roof rack, so far so good. It’s only been a week but survived a car wash yesterday. We prepped by sanding the area to rough it up then used a spray adhesive promoter before spraying the raptor liner.
Question: Do you recommend doing the outside of a Wrangler JK and how much would it take
Answer: Jks take 10bottles jku's take 3kits i do alot if whole vehicles if you need any help just ask
Question: can you spray over rust, i have rust starting in seams that i will not be able to prep that well
Answer: You can and if you do minor prep it will help seal rust up. Spray as many sides demensionally as you can so as to seal the rust up and if you have rust inhibitor spray that on first and allow to dry completely. I also recomend upol dolphin filled as a rust inhibitor and primer for tough spots holes and cracks. Spray the rust spots first. From the under side then the exterior and when spraying the underside always spray upright. You should be able to spray under your vehicle by lying on your back under just the side and looking toward your feet extend arm gently and spray. Light coats or bursts cover tires but it comes off with a razor or paint scraper.
