Answer:	They don’t fix or work correctly unless they are upright.

Answer:	As far as I know, Harbor Freight and others do not sell this remote separately. The remote for heavier HF winches is not the correct one. If your transmitter (remote control) failed, Google SM7WRS-SRC - it will give you instructions for the remote and control box positihttps://fccid.io/SM7WRS-SRC/User-Manual/User-Manual-1944799ve. You can then pair any brand remote control that (1) operates a solenoid controlled winch and (2) transmits at 315 MhZ to the control box. These go from $13 on up on Amazon. When you touch the antenna (green wire in my box, not blue), touch it to the red terminal on the solenoid (large heavy black unit in the control box) that gets power from the battery, then press any button on the remote. You may have to strip a wee bit insulation from the antenna for it to make metal to metal contact. You'll hear a fairly loud click in the solenoid. Repeat if necessary. I have not had a problem with the solenoid or receiver failing in the control box, so I have no information on that. The winch under load draws a lot of amps - they don't say how much - so don't swap out for a lower amp solenoid, if that's what's not clicking. It may be as high as 500 amp ?? You can probably test voltage from the receiver to the solenoid, to determine if the receiver has failed.

Answer:	Really the noise depends on how much it is pulling. I used it to pull a boat into the garage and it wasn't too loud but I was not inside.

Answer:	supposed to wait 2 times as long after use before using again. so for 20 seconds you wait 40 seconds before using again. it works well. we use it to load and unload an 800 pound cabinet into our toyhauler.

Answer:	Power in and out ... but I discovered that there is a handle at the cable-end of the winch that allows you to disengage the spool from the drive motor. I've never used this feature, but there are instructions printed on the unit showing how to use it.

Reduce The Risk Of Injury
