Question:	can it spool a standard 50 feet cable if I install it, 15 ' is not enough for me
Answer:	I've never seen it damage a surface, although I suppose it could, since it contains distillates (like toluene?) that might dissolve some materials. More importantly, this stuff is VERY sticky, so on a rough surface you would never be able to completely remove it. For that matter once it gets a good grip, it's about impossible to pull apart anyway. For example, I glued just the red plastic cover from a small reflector (with no backing) to the rear of the seat post on my bike -- just for fun, and extra safety. I put one blob on each side where the reflector touched the post, and masking taped the reflector in place till the glue dried. Years later when I replaced the seat and had to pull off the reflector, first it hadn't fallen off in the meantime, and second it was nearly impossible to get loose, then I had to work at remaining blobs of glue, stuck to chromed steel, with needle nose pliers, to yank them off the metal.

Answer:	Yes, I had good luck doing that with this. It's good at bonding surfaces that are different. I'd use rubbing alcohol on the surfaces first to clean them.

Answer:	No regrets at all. The battery has a good charge life. We have had several of the 24 volt winches and several of the 110 volt winches. (we are very hard on the winches and abuse them) They are both very handy winches to have and very comparable in overall pulling power. I will also add that the original winches were made for pulling only only. They now have models also safe for lifting. Again they are both fantastic for what they are, sometimes you just cant beat not having to worry about a power source to plug in a cord.
Question:	Does this come with the charger? How long does it take to charge? How long does it hold a charge
Answer:	I can not vouch for this seller but mine came with two batteries and a charger but I paid more. Ther's a red model and an orange. I will tell you this, do not leave the batteries without a charge for an extended period of time (or leave the batt. in the unit with the switch on.),you'll be buying new ones and two replacement batteries cost more than a new unit w batteries. The usage time is good but depends on how much continues use.

Question:	What is the largest rod you can put in the hook? I have a 1.25in diameter rod that the hoist has to hang off of. Will the hook fit on this size rod
Answer:	A max of 1" dia will pass through the open part of the hook.. but if you pass a pipe through end wise, it will accept up to 1-1/2 dia. The clip that closes the open part of the hook is cheap and wont last a damn. Do not open box in the house... expect to use a 1/2 roll of paper towels or rags and degreaser ... simple green... on the chain when new.. and there is one cheap cotter pin that should be replaced before using. When using the hoist sideways... the pawl will not engauge so if there is a load on it, someone has to hold the chain. Its a cheap hoisf but i used it for pulling a boat engine...was a V8, then pulled my boat trailee with boat on it out of the mud... may lock up sideways now and then but a quick backwards tug on the chain and its freed. The extra long chain is very nice...

Answer:	It does have a brake, however, if you are planning any lifting anywhere near 2000 lbs you would be better to step up to a 2 ton. We were lifting frames weighing between 1000 and 1700 lbs and the brake is destroyed already. Not recommended for anything heavy.

Answer:	You just need a sturdy place to hook the chain fall. It slowly raises the object as you pull the loop chain through. It works great. I just used it to lift up my ZT mower so I could change the blades. I warn you the chains are greasy when it arrives.
Question:	Is it ok to clean the oil off the chain
Answer:	The chain should not be left totally dry but the lubricant it ships with is so nasty, I decided to clean it off and re-lubricate with a cleaner lubricant. Cleaning was easy. Simply suspend the block about 3' off the floor with chains in a bucket of hot water and detergent; taking care not to submerge the block mechanism. After washing the chain, rinse chain with water using the same method. Then hang to dry and re-lubricate with a good rust preventative lubricant and then wipe excess lube off.

Question:	Referencing the first picture of the product) Can the winch be run with the cable entering from the right hand side
Answer:	I wash them in the dishwasher all the time. I don't have the original package, so I'm not sure what it says on there, but I have washed them a number of times and they haven't warped or the paint chipped or anything.

Answer:	The cups don't hold anything because there are holes in the bottoms.

Answer:	It is a great pump for my garden ponds.I'm not sure what a "Bottom Draw Adapter" is, but the pump is designed to operate in either the vertical or horizontal positions.

Answer:	What you want is 3/16" 7 x 19 GAC. It breaks around 4000 pounds which means you have a working load rating of around 1000 pounds which is what you want. Let me decode the designation. The 7 x 19 is the structure of it, meaning that there is six major strands twisted around one center strand for the seven part. The nineteen is the number of individual wires that make up each of the seven strands. The GAC stands for galvanized aircraft cable which is how smaller wire rope of this type is known, unfortunate because we don't call this stuff cable in general, but wire rope. (Cable is for running electricity) You can use 6 X19 or 6 X 7 layups. The six by means that there is a fibre strand in the center that is impregnated with lubricant. You don't need that for intermittent use. The "X 7" means that the strands only have seven bigger wires instead of the nineteen smaller ones to make the wire rope which makes the wire rope much stiffer and harder to handle. You want the nineteen if you can get it.
