Answer:	I welded a piece of "H" section on to the drawbar of my trailer, then bolted the winch to the top of that section. I guess you could weld it on, but I feel that welding it on would make it very difficult to remove should you wish to do that. There are bolt holes already provided in a useful pattern in the base of the winch, so you could simply mark through them with a sharpie, drill the holes and bolt the winch on. There are no bolts included.

Answer:	From the product spec. of 1T model, force to pull a full load capacity is 330 Newton. Take 1T = 2,000 lbs = 8,896.8 Newton, so the weight to force ratio is 8896.8/330 = 26.96. In other words, to lift 26.96 lbs, you put in the effort of 1 lbs.

Answer:	You must manipulate the ratchets back and forth with each stroke. Pull the lever to lift the load slightly flip the racket, lower the load, flip the ratchet to hold the load in a new lower position. The device is make to lift an item into position and has no mechanism to ratchet backward. One note: The lever to flip the ratchet is tight so smaller people may need a pair of pliers to accomplish the flip.

Answer:	It is possible if it is bolted to a beam securely and the items are not to heavy. Wouldn't think it would be very satisfactory way of lifting items into the attic.
