Question:	Does this come with just 1 tow strap or two
Answer:	From what I see in their website, they say it's a 30,000lb strap for $10. They provide no certificate of break strength for the strap. It might as well be a 5000lb strap for that price, there's no way it's a 30,000lb polyester strap unless they are selling at a loss. Even the Tree Saver Recovery Strap 3" x 8' costs $14 on Amazon which I know is a really good price. So it's not us charging more, it's them selling at a loss or scamming you.

Answer:	From my perspective although the strap will work to tow, it is meant to pull out cars/trucks that are stuck. Pulling a disabled vehicle behind another with any rope can be dangerous unless it needs to be pulled to a safe close location. My perspective is might need a tow truck.

Answer:	The working load limit is rated at 10,663 LBS, the break strength is rated at 31,518 LBS and we have recent lab certified tests that actually are up quite a bit higher but these numbers are the official ratings as printed on the product box, tags, and product advertising. Hope this helps!

Answer:	If the hook is rated as a secure towing point, then you could use it there. As a general rule, make sure the towing hook is stronger than the strap so that the strap breaks first if in case one of them is overloaded by accident. Since otherwise if the metal hook was to break it would fly off damaging surrounding things. So do check if the hook is rated for more than 35000lb break strength. Answer:	Just cause it fits, doesn't mean you should use it. Most straps will fit over a tow ball. If you want to kill someone, go for it. Instead, remove the male receiver and use the hitch pin. It's not ideal but a good alternative if you don't have a shackle. Safety First.

All ARB snatch straps are woven and fabricated to ARB  pecifications, and tested by a NATA approved laboratory. The 17,500 lb model is recommended for most 4WD vehicles, with the 24,000 lb & 33,000 lb straps better suited to heavier applications.



ARB supplies snatch straps in 8000kg (17,500lb), 11,000kg (24,000lb) and 15,000kg (33,000lb) minimum breaking strength (MBS). ARB snatch straps are manufactured from 100% nylon webbing and feature reinforced eyes for additional durability.

Notes to Users!

Persons intending to use the strap must ensure that the strap is not damaged and in a usable condition. The strap’s strength and stretch are reduced when the strap is saturated.

An ARB recovery damper, heavy bag or blanket must be draped over the strap during use to reduce any unintentional rebound of the strap.

While a recovery is being performed, only the persons involved in the recovery should be in either of the vehicles.

All other persons should be situated at a safe distance (1.5 times the length of the strap is recommended) from either of the vehicles involved in the recovery process and to the side of the line of the recovery.

Persons involved in the recovery process must:

a) Be kept at a safe distance (1.5 times the length of the strap is recommended) from either of the vehicles involved in the recovery process, to the side of the line of the recovery.

b) NEVER situate themselves within the path of the vehicle performing the recovery.



WARNING

Always follow product instructions. It is important to correctly attach the vehicle recovery strap to a motor vehicle. A standard tow ball or vehicle tie down point is not designed for this purpose and may result in the strap or a vehicle component detaching from a motor vehicle and striking and seriously injuring or killing a person. Only attach the strap to a vehicle recovery point or device that is suitably rated for use with the strap. Incorrect use has previously resulted in serious

injury and death. 

Snatch Block

The ARB snatch block is a formidable piece of recovery equipment that should be included in every recovery kit.

An ARB snatch allows you to retrieve loads that are double a winch’s capacity by reducing the load on the winch by half, and facilitating winching from varying angles when straight ahead isn’t the best option.



ARB snatch blocks feature side plates that sit snug against the pulley, eliminating the possibility of the winch cable becoming trapped in between. And the groove on the pulley itself tapers down to the centre, allowing for a variety of cable sizes to be used and ensuring the cable is seated securely, minimising lateral movement.

Bow D Shackles

D shackles, tow hooks, drag chains... as the experienced off road driver knows, there's a multitude of supplementary 4x4 equipment that makes vehicle recovery far easier.

The importance of D shackles in particular cannot be underestimated for vehicle recovery, indeed for most 4x4s, the D shackle is how you attach the strap to the vehicle. We have a range of D shackles that cater for the largest heavy duty trucks to the smallest SUV.

Recovery Damper

While ARB’s winch cables and straps are exceptionally strong, it is essential that safety precautions such as fitting a recovery damper are taken to avoid injury in the event of a failure.

One such precaution is the fitting of a recovery damper prior to a load being applied. In the unlikely event of a wire rope or strap failure, the recovery damper will absorb most of the energy in the cable or strap, significantly reducing the recoil.  As recovery dampers are now mandatory accessories for most 4WD competitions, the ARB damper exceeds minimum competition weight requirements. Manufactured from heavy duty vinyl with a silver reflective tape for visibility at night and Velcro to reduce slipping, ARB recovery dampers are a reliable and durable choice.

Answer:	It stretched? Wow, you must have exceeded the max. weight by a lot. I had no issues with it returning to the 30-foot length after use. In my own humble and un-qualified opinion, if your strap stretched so far out of true as to be noticed, it would become a "hold that junk down in the truck bed" only strap. Maybe you can use it as underlayment for a tree-saver strap. If you were at or under the 30K weight and it deformed, might I recommend you contact the seller and/or manufacturer directly? Good luck.

Answer:	This item is used to pull heavy items. My husband attached it to his truck and also to the oak section and hauled it where it would be easier to cut into smaller pieces to load on the truck.

Answer:	I am not an off road enthusiast, so I am not sure how much stretch is common with these types of straps. I will say it was ALOT more flexible than the 2" X 20' Tow strap that I ripped both ends off of. The loops on the ends work much better than hooks for my application also. I could apply enough tension with this strap to slide my 3/4 ton dodge truck (#5500 empty, on pavement) sideways, without breaking!!! With consistent application of tension force, I doubt that I could break this strap. Make sure that the loops are protected to distribute the load and it will last for a long time. This is not meant to "snatch" heavy loads.

Kinetic Energy Recovery Rope is used for dynamic vehicle recovery, where vehicles are stuck in mud, sand or snow. It's the safest and easiest product for getting vehicles unstuck. KERR works like a rubber band. One end is attached to the stuck vehicle and the other end to the pulling vehicle. As the pulling vehicle drives forward, it takes up the rope's slack creating momentum and pulling force. Once the rope is tight, it begins to stretch – when it reaches maximum stretch, the stuck vehicle will begin to move, using all of the energy built up from stretching the rope like an elastic band. Double Braid rope has a core rope and a cover (jacket) rope. Both core and cover are made in a diamond braid pattern. Rope cover protects the core rope from debris and dirt, which can cause excessive wear and abrasion if it gets stuck between the fibers. It carries part of the recovery load, which allows the load to be evenly distributed. Only use a high-strength fixture that can be securely closed to attach a recovery rope to vehicle. Examples include screw-pin shackles or soft shackles. Work Load Limit (WLL) should be 3X the vehicles curb weight. Look for attachment points on the frame of the vehicle (check owner's manual). Do not attach to a bumper or ball of a trailer hitch. Under load, these can easily be torn off.
