Answer:	You can adjust the brightness, but be aware all the lighted options are still very bright. The last setting it where the light goes completely off, but that isn't very helpful because you can't see the time at all. Also be aware the same control for the dimness controls the snooze so if you hit it to turn on the light to see the time you may mess with the snooze setting depending on the sequence. I ended up putting 2 small index card (thickness) in front of the light and that way the brightness is further muted and I can still see the time through the card and I don't have to touch the snooze button.
