Answer:	My hotel room in South Africa had two different types of outlets. This adapter will work for the Type C outlets. This adapter will not work with Type M outlets. I'd take both this and a Type M adapter.

Answer:	Just got back from a 15 day stay in China and uses the adapter throughout with no problems. Used on 240 volt supplies and even on 120 volt systems, encountered no problems. Even here in the states when I only had a single 120 V plug, when I wanted to connect multiple UPS cords the adapter worked without any problems. For a laptop or any other piece of equipment verify that the laptop or Kindle, iPad whatever, doesn't draw more power than the adapter is certified for. Answer:	Hello, if you mean will it work with the square pins of a UK plug, yes it will. If that's not what you meant, please try to ask the question in another way, because I am not sure what "straight iron" means. In most continental European countries the pins on the plug are round. In UK they are rectangular. The Tumi product works perfectly in both. Sorry for the long answer. I own two of these products, am British, live in Germany and travel extensively all around Europe, and long-haul. Answer:	It comes with a set of adapters that will work with most plugs around the world. It is also a surge protector. However, it is not a converter. It will not convert 220v to 110v. Having said that, most laptop power adapters will work with either voltages. Lastly, I did experience a failure with the unit I received; but the seller/manufacturer responded very quickly with a replacement. In conclusion, the USB ports should work fine for your Android phones and the normal power outlet should work fine for your laptop.

Answer:	I am in Japan right now and have found that I had absolutely no need for this travel plug. Everywhere I have gone I have been able to find electrical sockets just like in the US. My son lives in Tokyo and that has been hs experience too. I wouldn’t waste your money. I regret buying these.
