If you have the rails on top fo the Flex this will work perfectly, if you don't you will need rooftop cargo tie down hook and ratchet straps. The straps provided were too long with tie downs and very hard to get off if you need to remove the cargo bag at over nite stops

Answer:	Crossbars are not necessary. There are plenty of straps to secure it to the side rails. But, I advise against this product. I returned mine after first use. It’s not waterproof and one of the attached straps ripped off easily. I recommend you look at the Amazon Basics equivalent product.

Answer:	I do not believe it came with them. However it’s a pretty easy set up. Place on roof between roof racks and place buckled under rails. Once full and zipped shut then clip buckles that went around the rails to the clips above. Use the tied down straps to cinch the load down by threading them through the racks from one side to the other. Cinch and buckle. Note you need to tuck the extra strap under or tie it or it annoyingly flaps in the wind being noisy.

Question:	Did any of you use a tarp on top of the c arrier just to make sure it was waterproof? If you did what did you use
Answer:	The design is to secure to an existing rack for greater stability. However, the straps provided allow others without a rack to go inside the car and utilise the doors as security measure instead of a rack. I also seen this during my travels. I don't suggest it, but it's a poor-man's measure when one don't have an existing rack. A warning thought, the cargo back will slide side-to-side based on the weight and air friction (the shape formed from how you pack your cargo bag). I saw a bag slanted 45 to 75 degrees sideway on top of a non-rack roof at high speed.
Question:	crv with no roof racks. if i put this on my roof and load it up to 160 lbs of camp equipment, would it smash my roof
Answer:	The bottom is 48" x40" wide by a!most 6" should fit if you put something under it.
Question:	Can this be used on a Honda Fit
Answer:	Mine has held up just fine. You might have a faulty product.
Question:	Did you leave it on the car when you stayed overnight at hotel? Is there any kind of safeguard to the content
Answer:	Honestly, I’d go with a different brand. Mine ripped at a seam a few hours into a cross country trip. I returned it for full credit but it cost me $24 to ship it that I didn’t get reimbursed for.

WITHOUT RACK - Step 1

• Open Door
• Pull down rubber weather stripping
• Attach the included door hook to the metal door frame
• Firmly press the rubber stripping back into place

WITHOUT RACK - Step 2

• Close the door taking care not to crush the buckles
• Feed one of the large buckles through the hook loop
• Fasten the buckle, repeat three times around the vehicle

WITH RACK/RAILS

• Feed the main strap under the side rail
• Fasten the buckle, repeat three times around the vehicle

TIGHTEN & GO!!!

• Once all 4 main straps are attached tighten the buckles evenly around the vehicle
• DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN OR HANG OFF THE STRAPS
• Once firmly secured, use the Velcro fasteners to secure excess straps
