Answer: I don'y have experience with the deep waver, but my hair is in layers and it is cut in a bob, just above my shoulders also. I love this waver ! Makes a nice wave without the kinky look. Just takes some practice. There are a ton of videos on YouTube show how to use this waver in short hair. Check them out and I think you will have a better idea. Hope this helps.

Answer: I used 91% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol as slip solution. I dipped the spatula side of the tool into alcohol solution before squeezing poly gel onto spatula. I found this method worked for me.

Answer: I would suggest to do smaller sections. It works great! Pros, it heats up fast, crimps stay for a long time and if you do sections in thinner pieces it will look great! Cons, it’s less beachy and more crimpy. Like the crimps are more like a small perm then true beach waves. :)

Answer: As far as I know it does not. I sent it back, it was difficult to use without burning yourself..

Answer: My hair is just below chin length, and I love it. The iron is a little harder to manage & in the back where the hair is really short it gives it more of a wave and volume than actual curl because you can't wrap the short hair around it, BUT it makes my hair look awesome, and I always get compliments
