Answer:	Crossbars are not necessary. There are plenty of straps to secure it to the side rails. But, I advise against this product. I returned mine after first use. It’s not waterproof and one of the attached straps ripped off easily. I recommend you look at the Amazon Basics equivalent product.

Answer:	I do not believe it came with them. However it’s a pretty easy set up. Place on roof between roof racks and place buckled under rails. Once full and zipped shut then clip buckles that went around the rails to the clips above. Use the tied down straps to cinch the load down by threading them through the racks from one side to the other. Cinch and buckle. Note you need to tuck the extra strap under or tie it or it annoyingly flaps in the wind being noisy.

Answer:	I do not know if it will fit your Jeep. I drive a 2010 Toyota RAV4 with a side opening tailgate and use this rack. As far as being able to open the tailgate when it is in place, if your lower straps have to anchor on to your bumper, or anything underneath the bumper, then you will not be able to open the tailgate while it is installed. There are no convenient attachments on my car for the lower straps, so I anchor them to the tie-down rings inside the rear compartment, then I close the door on the straps and cinch them up. I have to remove the rack to open the tailgate. This is the only rack that I have found to fit on my car, and it is fairly easy to take on and off the car. The hardest part for me is putting the rigid tire cover back on the spare, but the rack itself is easy.

Answer:	There is one zipper with two zipper “handles”, so I’m sure you could buy a really small key lock and loop it through the two handles to lock it. Kind of wish we did that as we had to unload it at our midpoint hotel on our road trip. This would have saved a lot of time.

Answer:	If you mean how high will the bag go? What they say the dimensions are are true to size.

Answer:	The product description states it is a triple seal option. I'm not certain how it improves this already very sturdy tough secure bag. I purchased the regular bag and had no problems even in 50mph winds while traveling 80mph in 105 degree days in Southern Arizona. I did however use the X strapping style. For the high winds.

Answer:	Hi Misti, The Cross Country Carrier is 100% Waterproof and is completely electrically sealed, no exposed stitches or seams. The Explorer Carrier is made with the same materials as the Cross Country Carrier and is available in the same sizes, however, we consider it 99% Waterproof since the zipper flap is sewn, rather than welded. We recommend the Cross Country Carrier for longer trips and peace of mind your gear will be protected in any weather. Question:	Will the "without a rack" straps work on a minivan with sliding doors
Answer:	I have side rails only (front to back) without cross bars and it worked perfectly without the cross bars.Just make sure you attach the straps to the posts that connect the side rails to the car so the straps and bag don't slide. It didn't budge an inch on my Pilot all the way from Ohio to Florida and back.
Question:	What is the diff between the roofbag Explorer & the roofbag cross country ,both are 15cu.ft. w/rack
Answer:	I have a 2006 Hyundai Elantra and while the bag’s size would fit atop the car you would have to purchase some sort of bracket or hook to secure it to the vehicle.
Question:	Do you need to have cross bars or will this bag fasten securely with just front to back rails
Answer:	I bought this for my son's 1999 Honda Accord when he moved to live with me for a while. His car needed the rooftop cargo tie down hook and ratchet straps to secure it to the roof of the car. If you have the rails on top fo the Flex this will work perfectly, if you don't you will need rooftop cargo tie down hook and ratchet straps. The straps provided were too long with tie downs and very hard to get off if you need to remove the cargo bag at over nite stops

Answer:	I do have cross bars, but the bag was big to use my cross bars correctly. So i uses the strap the bag came with on the top and it work great for me. I had no problems with the bag from Texas to my hometown in central Illinois.

Question:	Can I use it in all seasons
Answer:	Yes you can open the doors and than close them over it straps
Question:	Will the water come in the vehicle
Answer:	We place it on our vehicle roof first, and then put things in, zipped it up, and secure the straps.
Question:	Are the hooks waterproof
Answer:	Crossbars are not necessary. There are plenty of straps to secure it to the side rails. But, I advise against this product. I returned mine after first use. It’s not waterproof and one of the attached straps ripped off easily. I recommend you look at the Amazon Basics equivalent product.
Question:	Which side faces back? Photos show “Hi Journey”(with no zipper) facing forward, but the directions say the side with no zipper goes in the back
Answer:	I do not believe it came with them. However it’s a pretty easy set up. Place on roof between roof racks and place buckled under rails. Once full and zipped shut then clip buckles that went around the rails to the clips above. Use the tied down straps to cinch the load down by threading them through the racks from one side to the other. Cinch and buckle. Note you need to tuck the extra strap under or tie it or it annoyingly flaps in the wind being noisy.

Question:	Has anyone used this on gravel roads? If so, did your stuff get dusty
Answer:	I can’t answer the dusty question directly but definitely recommend putting everything inside large garbage bags..not only bc of dust but rain is also a definite consideration. We did experience rain and dampness was inside due to wind around the zipper. I think these bags were a great purchase!
Question:	Are the roof straps for a vehicle without a roof rack
Answer:	The roof straps are designed to go through the (open) doors, and snap together inside the car - basically forming a loop from the bag (outside) and buckling inside the car. So the answer to your question is yes, in my opinion. It's hard for me to imagine getting the straps tight enough if you were fastening it to a roof rack. I hope this helps!

Answer:	Depending on how much length you have in your roof, the carrier might partially cover the sunroof.The size 11 carrier is 40 inches long and the size 15 is 48 inches long.If any portion is on the glass we recommend to use your best judgement and not place anything heavy on the glass. A Protective Mat is recommended, but optional, it will cushion the contact of the bag with the glass, prevent shifting, and protect the roof of the car.
